AS the fallout from Parramatta’s salary cap dramas continue to swirl around the club, a dedicated fan and member has made an impassioned plea to the NRL to finally take the steps necessary to help the Eels move on from the scandal.
Robbie Barnes, Parramatta Leagues Club Member 94370, is desperate for his club to let the truth be told so the Eels can move on from the salary cap debacle.
Mr Barnes’ letter does not represent a formal vote of no confidence in the board, it is simply one fan’s desperate plea for his club to finally be able to focus on the future.
LETTER TO TODD GREENBERG
Hey Todd,
On behalf of all Eels fans, NRL lovers and Parramatta Leagues Club members I hereby formally tender a vote of no confidence against the Board of the Parramatta National Rugby League Club (PNRL) and request that all Directors and Executive Team members step aside or be forcibly removed IMMEDIATELY from all duties related to the Club.
This will finally allow NRL officials to fully investigate, uncover and present the TRUTH.
They have nothing to fear if they have nothing to hide — so why not let the truth be found and more importantly be told.
From all reports they claim to be innocent of any wrong doing.
Yet for every one report of innocence there are dozens reporting the guilt.
Instead of wasting everyone’s time, denying the accusations and dragging this matter beyond the point of ridiculous — they must let the NRL authorities do their job.
The time has come for them to bite the bullet and allow the process to take its course.
If by some miracle they are found innocent of any wrong doing (which I highly doubt) then there is no reason as to why they cannot be reinstated to their original roles.

But, if they are found to be in the wrong (which it looks like) then I am already sure they know what to expect and are most likely in the process of preparing for it as they are reading this.
I am a long term Eels fan (20+ years), I am a perpetual member of the leagues club (since 2004) and most importantly I am a former Game Day sponsor of the PNRL club for 2013 (I will not disclose in this letter which player was sponsored).
I now have reason to fear that funds which I personally provided to the club in 2013 were misused for fraudulent activities in order to benefit the club illegally and retain players.
The time has come for action.
The time has come for the NRL to say enough is enough and in co-operation with the Parramatta Leagues Club take control of the situation and restore order to the Eels.
It is not only the club’s name and reputation that is being affected by this situation.
There are real people being adversely affected by this and they did nothing wrong.
The sooner all these issues are resolved the sooner the fans, the players, the coaching staff, the support staff, the administration staff and everyone else can move on and focus on the task at hand — winning games and securing two points each week.
To prevent this situation from occurring again I believe that within every single NRL Club’s Board of Directors group it should be a requirement that there be not only a NRL Official but also a suitably qualified and experienced club fan/member who can actively participate in the Board meetings but also speak on behalf of the Club’s fans during the decision makings process for each of the clubs.
This way the integrity of all decisions made are above board and 100% compliant with NRL regulations but most importantly has the Club’s, the players and the fans best interest in mind — not only for today but for the future of the game itself.
As such, I am willing to give 15 hours per week of my own time for the rest of the 2016 Season (and beyond if needed) to support my club, the Eels, and assist in resolving any and all issues that require attention.
Thank you for your assistance regarding this matter.
I look forward to hearing a positive result quite soon.
Regards,
Robbie Barnes

Just let it be June 5th; the board will leave but still want to defend their case
agree I seen this post on facebook...never did I think it would make the F**kn news....that will do me!!
Actually commented and asked him who he voted for in the last elections....he didn't reply!!
Well said!!
How has anything about the manner this has been handled be considered fair...only the very one eyed haters would agree with that. We've all heard how we've blown it over and over. And that's not in dispute but how about we hear our side of some of the other facts that surround the sordid mess and involvement of others.
It's a couple of weeks and don't see why ppl can't wait that long or why some find that notion unreasonable. We have nothing to lose and why is that so much to ask? There is no more damage that can be inflicted on our hopes than has already been dished up from ourselves, media and the NRL s convenient leaks.
Just allow our case to be delivered and we can all move on with a clean slate and new board etc.
Fair call from Robbie, everybody wants them gone, im not sure about his idea of putting fan/s on the board lol, we know how quickly they will get starey eyed and be no better than the membership council no offence.
But i respect him offering his time up.
