Eels Legend to be Immortalised

THE STORM will meet the Eels next week, but not in the way you’d expect.Parramatta Eels legend Nathan Hindmarsh will be immortalised in a mural by internationally-renowned artist Stormie Mills.The street portrait project, launched by ANZ, will see large scale paintings appearing on unused walls across Sydney, recognising local people with inspiring stories to tell.When Mills met Hindmarsh, he said he saw another side to the footy legend.“He’s a very honest and down-to-earth person. He does a lot for charity,” he said.The Perth artist has made a name for himself with his iconic character-based work, exhibiting in galleries around the world, including London, New York, Tokyo and Miami.“Art has taken me all around the world, which I’m very grateful for,” he said.As for the Hindmarsh mural, he said his game plan was to decide on the day how to paint him.Mills will begin painting on Monday at 110 Church St, Parramatta.Nathan Hindmarsh will be immortalised for his legendary status in rugby and philanthropic work.

  • Sorry but I would have Beau Scott in front of Hindy and Dean Pay too. Hindy was a tackling in the end. Maybe I am wrong but it's all about opinion. His defence was outstanding but his attack suffered. Huge heart.
