  • Is there any possibility that Pezet stays at the Eels for longer and rejects the Broncos? Is the Broncos contract a done deal yet?

    • When anasta spoke the other day he said no contracts have been signed yet but I think the chances of a better outcome for the eels is next to none.

    • Cumberland Eel   NO ...and no contracts exist at this point. That said Ryles has indicated he only wants him for 12 months.

    • CE, Can't see it. Pezet wants seven long-term. He won't wait behind Moses or Hughes for 4yrs. Hence, his get-out clause from the Storm. Contrary to some punters' views, it was clear to our Club it was never a long-term deal.

  • I recon in 2027, the club hope that the 1/6/7 in NRL is Iongi, Renzo and Moses. Then Papalii, Risati, Fletcher, Coinakis the 1/6/7/9 in nsw cup. Perhaps will want an experienced head as well in NSW cup to help those young blokes.

    • So what there really saying is we aren't winning a comp while Moses is still current as a player. This wave of form he's in doesn't last forever. We still don't have a long term partner in the halves or anything concrete going foward either.

Our juniors right now feel like our all eggs because I just don't have faith in our recruitment to make anything big happen on the open market.

      • Jesh you're a depressing son of a bitch Coryn.  Have you hit rock bottom now and do you pay rent there.

        • Unless you’ve got deep-pocketed sugar daddies — the easy way — recruiting big names is shopping at Gucci with Coles coupons.

You could put Jesus, Mary, Muhammad in R&R, throw in Buddha for balance, and you’d still struggle to land too many big-fish except on ridiculous overs on your cap.

The Panthers have four titles, Matt Cameron running the most efficient footy factory since Willy Wonka, yet they lose their own stars and juniors they develop every year and can’t snag big names.

They did it the hard way over ten years: juniors, culture, leadership, development, value buys.

        • Chiefu, Rock Bottom allows patrons to stay for as long as they please rent free

        • Reality's going to hit home.In Parra's caseyou've got got a guy at the peak of his powers and we have a half pie team around him in full rebuild mode that's just the facts of it.By the time this teams ready to contend 27 onwards because it's not happening next year how much do you think fingers crossed a full 2 seasons has on Moses's body and form and heaven forbid he goes uninjured.

Theres not a lot of top tier halves around we are in the hunt now the timing of this rebuild sucks monkeys arseholes when talking about Moses's timeline, form and winning a premiership.

In all essence we are juniors or bust because we've shown we can't attract the top tier talent in the market. You know what's depressing is watching these amateurs try and catch clubs around us that have far more of a clue than what we do.

          Reality that's all it is.
