Eels counter Horo offer

"THE Newcastle Knights appear set for more disappointment on the recruitment front after Parramatta sources predicted last night that promising forward Justin Horo would stay with the Eels.

The Knights have tabled a three-year deal to Horo reported to be worth $150,000 a season and gave him a tour of their Mayfield training base on Tuesday.

But Eels officials responded with a counter offer yesterday, and the Newcastle Herald was told last night that a two-year deal was "as good as done" and would be confirmed this week."

Awesome news. Looking forward to hearing confirmation.

$150k a season? is that all they offered? Here I was thinking they offered over $200K..

For $150K, he would have to be very silly to sign with the Knights..

Who would want to play for Newcastle, sure Parra had an ordinary year, but the Knights were never a possible thought of winning the comp or making the top 8. if you think Daniel Mortimer didn't fire this year, what has Mullen done?

horo's dad mark is a keen parra supporter ,and a past player ,he a great guy,and maybe mark should go on the coaching staff
