Have you seen what's available? There is no quality on the market for next year, and in 2026 we are competing with the Perth Bears for signatures. I think we will be relying on our juniors progressing over the next couple of years.
Throw in the fact we aren't a destination for the top tier talent regardless.Most want to win now there for the most part aren't interested in a rebuild exercise especially the ones that have already come from struggling clubs.

Samrani is a long way off being a top 17 player in a good squad, he has a crack but only a bottom team would have him in their 17 at this stage of his career, we need to aim higher to climb higher.
Garner doesn't really fit that last part then. That's why i said just develop Samrani anyway.
Tbh, I never really minded Garner as a player.
Around 3 years ago I would've said he would be a good buy. Now, it's ok I guess but nothing to carry on about it.
