Eels blocked Hoppa's Request

It’s been reported that Will Hopoate actually didn’t want to play Sundays last year at Parramatta and that the Parramatta club insisted he play. Which could be a reason why he’s at the Dogs now.“Yes that’s the case,” Parra boss Sharp told The Daily Telegraph about Hopoate’s request not to play on Sundays.“You can’t choose to be a social footballer when it suits you and then a professional footballer when it suits you.“We all have to acknowledge that it’s a great entertainment sport, but it’s a business and the business is spread over the entertainment areas and Sunday is one of the big games as far as your television goes.”No wonder he played shit for us, and they even considered giving him a new contract?? That will do me!!!

  • Bulldogs only have one Sunday game that I know of - and  that is during Origin.

I assume Des asked the NRL for no Sunday games.

What would happen if other clubs asked for no Sunday games - we have a lot of religious players

    • i thought they had 3 in a row during that time?

Well done sharpy on this one.

    • They play R10, R11 & R12 on Sunday
    • Apparently he misses the 2 Sunday games heading into Origin.... What's the bet Daley still picks him

  • Excellent - hope they are short on outside backs and really need him
  • hoppa may want extra time sundays  to go to church and hes may find wife two, its seems in morman rules its ok. we have friends morman and kids are needed in there faith , plenty..so he needs sundays free

    • I read a bit of stuff from Wills mrs online regarding her thoughts on life and religion, i had to have a good lay down after it god bless her.

Seriously its sad they closed down Callan Park up their in Gladesville, it means that more of these people are walking the street.

And dont get me started on the magic Mormon underwear Will and his Mrs wears, no im not joking, google it.

Im very concerned that these people are so freely allowed to mix in society, dont say i didnt warn you.

  • The full article is up on the kennel, they are going off, praising us for saying no and stating they could learn a lot from us, lol, Sharpie even steals their motto in the article, its gold, a real good belly laugh and great work from steve, im not too good at linking but you can see it over there in the bulldogs section, theres a riot goin on over there atm, its been so funny to read.

  • It'll be interesting to see what happens if the puppies get Sunday games from R21 to R26.
    • While I'm not in the conspiracy theory camp of "the NRL is anti Parra and pro Dogs" I'm willing to bet in this case the Dogs get no Sunday games in those rounds
