              • This is fair enough and Id rather keep Joe O than Lane for example.

But I think we might need to make some decisions as we can't keep them all. Same for Cartwright who I think can still be useful beyond 2025, but might be let go just cause we want more and can't get rid of some others.

    • You could be right. All our middles will be in their 30's next year. Ofa, Paulo, Williams, Matterson. We need some young blood. Greig is off-contract, so is Moretti. Tuivaiti may need a year or two.

Thompson would be a RCG replacement easily.

  • This is great news, this will make our squad close to complete - add a quality dummy and were in the hunt for a top a 8 spot.

    • Add a "quality dummy" that's something we have all managed to come up with over the years Mickey LOL

I was lucky I got you and Wiz, no questions about  quality!!

"hunt for a top 8" come on Mickey, we can do better than that......how about minor premiers?

No one's going to hole out on you being optimstic.....go for GOLD son!

      • Too soon Pops, I'd be over the moon if we got into the finals next season - 2 signings could easily make us a top 2 team, Cobbo & Robson.

        • I thought I read somewhere that Robson was going to the Rorters?

          • Yeah that's the rumor and Cobbo

Rorters will rebuild quickly... Just proves Trent Robinson is is an average coach, can't get the job done with a squad approx  valued between 15 - 18 mil

Ben hunt was signed by the donkeys for 550k? What happened to the term "market value"?? NRL are a joke at times.

            • I agree Mick. Market value only applies to Parra! Remember Israel Folau!

              • Isn't it funny how Hunt is allowed to leave a 1.3 million a year deal and then sign with Brisbane for about the same money we offered Blaise Talagi 😂.   What a crock of shit , if ever the cap rorting methods were being slapped in our faces it's Brisbane expecting us to believe they were able to sign Hunt on 550k.

Please ..... or are we supposed to believe some magical sponsor just came out of the blue without any interference from The Broncos and offered one of the least liked or marketable blokes in the NRL a 500k a year third party endorsement deal ?  Thats an even bigger joke than the first scenario.

The NRL are fucking kidding themselves if they register this deal , and if I was every other club in the comp I'd be querying how this isn't being scrutinised at length  .

                • You know the NRL will register the deal. The NRL allow certain clubs more leeway than others. It's a joke and an unwritten rule that's allowed to go unchecked.
