EELS ADD TO HOOKER STOCKS
Still on the Warriors, the Eels have all but signed Nathaniel Roache on a development deal.
The 24-year-old hooker has been on the hunt for a new club since he was told by the Warriors he wouldn’t be offered a new deal.
Roache made his debut in 2016 but has only strung together 26 NRL games. He’s had eight operations since his debut and missed the entire 2018 season due to surgery on his back.
He had a knee reconstruction and ankle surgery last year but after he was fully recovered he couldn’t break into the Warriors’ best 17.
Roache’s addition will follow the signing of hooker Joey Lussick.

Why have 3 hookers? Its becoming like Kings Cross
Depth
Seem to be signing an aweful lot of "depth" and not much else thus far.
Really, we only have one or two concerns with the starting 13. We need a good bench prop and/or utility and the rest will be depth signings. I don't know what you're expecting, we released mostly backup players and we still have Jennings' salary on the books until the B sample is tested.
Does anyone know why the B sample results take a frigging age to be released publicly? My understanding is that it is only another test on the A sample.
It's a government run agency - need I say more?
The A test takes just as long, you just don't know about it. The labs that do these tests are always backed up, they're not cheap to conduct.
Plus there's a nasty little virus running amok you might've heard about, it kinda takes precedence
Exactly. I thought 2 hookers would be adequate.
We once had three hookers on our books and at one point all of them were injured. You need three, especially with Reed likely being in Origin contention next year and the increased demands on hookers due to six again. It's an area we've needed to strengthen for two years.
LOL - Reed for SOO?
I tell ya, you is dreamin' son.
