    • I thought Lane was pretty good last weekend.  He is better suited to the middle.  I am sure he thanked Gutho for the hospital pass too!

      • He did on his instagram story lol.

    • Agreed, especially to cover for lock.

  • Geez Niukore has been rock solid in that  centre position. Id hate to see the leaky defence we saw last year return when Waqa was there. mmmmmmmmm

    • He has been, but he is still an even better edge forward.

  • Given pretty much all of our injured players have come back through NSW Cup, I'd anticipate Waqa will spend 1 game there

    • I hope so. We really need to be sure with him because it's not as though he was perfect prior to injury. If he goes back to reggies and leaks points then he can stay there until he fixes that up. It's a glaring problem he has and Niukore has shown him up especially defensively. If he goes back to reggies I suspect he'll be there a couple of weeks at least. His defence simply is not good enough for this 2021 squad.

      • I agree exactly!

      • This is a game that will likely will see no new bench players or real changes to the team, the chickens will put a strong side on the paddock even with their missing players.  Waqa would be too big a risk at this point owing to nil match condition, he will be in reggies for a while to pick up his threads.  I also doubt that Waqa will be back any time soon and will come back through reggies for more than a few matches.

I would see BA selecting a strong side without any real surprises and with players he can rely on, doubt that Greig will be on the bench either.  Either Stone depending on his shoulder or Hipgrave will be on the bench,
