Josh Hodgson is set to retain his spot in the Eels line-up despite [increasing pressure from fellow hooker Brendan Hands](https://www.codesports.com.au/sport/nrl/nrl-market-watch-brendan-hands-and-will-kennedy-sign-new-deals/news-story/d7d0c54ec6dca2d6ae14fcaa4f54c636).
[Hodgson, signed by Parramatta to replace Reed Mahoney](https://www.codesports.com.au/sport/nrl/parramatta-eels-vow-to-stick-with-josh-hodgson-despite-knee-injury/news-story/2e673caa295de75cb01cf4795c9213e0), managed just 31-minutes in last week’s loss to the Broncos before being replaced by Hands.
With Hands rolling the ruck, the Eels clawed their way back into the match after trailing 22-6 at halftime.
Parramatta lost the match 26-16, but the impact of Hands was telling.
However, Eels coach Brad Arthur is set to stick with both dummy-halves for their clash with Newcastle on Friday night.
Winger Haze Dunster will replace Bailey Simonsson in the backline, who will miss Friday night’s match after suffering a concussion

At preschool I use two terms with my kids
" rock brain " - fixed thinking
" squishy brain " - flexible thinking
I think BA struggles w his squishy brain just quietly
BA is the only reason Hands is at Parra no other clubs were interested.
Sensational point
BA is also the only reason Josh Hodgson is at Parra and no other clubs were interested.
Lol, classic
Boom... ouch.
Lol
What point are you trying to make?, this is one of if not the most ridiculous attempt to defend BA.
It's pretty damn obvious to anyone watching the eels games which of the two has been by far the better and that's Hands. Hodgson has been so far below first grade standard particularly in defence It's quite embarrassing really.
Spot on
And what does that say about BA and our club?
