This blog is like posting that I bowed out of the race to date Angelina Joliet this morning, because I forgot to brush my hair. Yeah, I was never in the race and my messy hair episode made no difference.
As an aside Mahoney deserves to be in the top 10 for Dally M canditates (even ahead of Gutho).
He won't win it, but he's improved out of sight.
Last year, I was starting to wonder whether we needed someone else for some desparately needed spark out of dummy half.
Gees, I get a kick out of seeing someone improve their game so dramatically. His work on attack in the off-season which he admitted to focusing on has proven fruitful. Hope he continues.
I remember seeing Mahoney in the lower grades coverage a few years back and thought "wow, that kid has a dangerous running game, but is he too small to handle the rigors of starting hooker".
