Dylan Brown open to offers

The SMH is reporting that Dylan Brown's management has circulated an email to rival clubs for an expression of interest in the playmaker.

The five-eighth has a player option in his favour for the 2026 season but is yet to enact it.

The Eels have until round 10 to either convince Brown to activate his option or have him sign a new contract removing the player option clauses.

  • He's on 900k, I don't see him getting a better offer

    • Maybe he ain't after a better offer.

    • Let him go chase the money. Start training Lomax at no.6 and make him co-captain. Lomax as a running 5/8 would be deadly. He is one of the few who came for less money. Push Brown out to centre (he plays like one anyway), until he pisses off in 2026

      • Or iongi 5/8 and falaggo to fullback if joash papali.or vvolkman dont work out

  • His management are just doing there job nothing new here. If we are travelling well I can't see why he'd want to leave. If he goes he goes.

    • Doesn't help the cause when a ridiculous contract is draw up all in stacked in favour of the player - if DB signs elsewhere MON, Rodgers and Jim S should resign.

      • They should resign anyways.  They've continually put us in this position with players.  They seem to be the only bunch of muppets in the NRL that can't sign a decent player already in their system without a fucking get out clause every other year.

        • X a million billion

we have been a laughing stock with more player options than chemicals in my dry shampoo

        • and yet the same blokes have no player options in contracts since arthur left pretty sure its not a coincidence

      • You have to consider he may not have signed the contract without the options in the first place.

"Ditto. They both have pace to burn through the middle of the ruck.
We had something similar when Gutho still had his legs at dummy half after a strong forward run and M. Jennings would run next to him and finish off during 2019-2020.
