Definitely played well today if he plays like that every week. Living up to the hype

    • Lol so 1 good game and all of a sudden we are the idiots for letting him leave? So you think we should match $1.3mil for him?

  • You don't know what he's going to give you from half to half let alone week to week .
Also has limited vision for a half and no feel for when to inject himself into a game. He doesn't know how to grab a game and take control of it .  He had games like today for Parra over the years but you just knew it wasn't any indicator of his next game .
I think paying him to be the man is a disaster , he will cop shit about his inability to do things required of a 1.4 mil half and plenty of criticism that he's not worth the $ which will further make him uncomfortable. Can see it a mile away unfortunately.

  • Played over 150 games for us. Maybe was our best in a small handful of games. When the pressure was on replacing Moses, missing in action.

At $1.3m I want Munster, Cleary or even Dearden. Players who give their all week in week out. He has been a promising player for 7 years but never/cant realise his full potential.

  • Yet for a guy whose so far out of form the Kiwi coach starts DB and he'll start injury dependent against Tonga.Stacey Jones your an idiot 😂

  • I thought young Blaize was very good yesterday too. He nearly took that game by the scruff of the neck and won it for Samoa, if only Mariner could catch and/or pass Samoa probably wins. That sideline conversion from Blaize for a player that doesn't kick regularly was outstanding.

    • Dont say that AE. Talagi is a shit and overrated player on this site.

      • Yeah but they are just plain wrong!

reckon he'll be up there with very best of them sooner than usual for a young one. Expiierencing a gf in his first year will go a looong way too!

      • Talagi has talent. But his lateral defence and decision-making is a weakness. He was a weak-link in Penrith's vulnerable left-edge. In his last 3 games, including against NZ he missed 22 tackles (10,6,6) along with plenty of ineffective tackles (6 missed, 4 ineffective vs NZ).

    • Was a great game and can't say I was a little salty thst both sixes  were ours. They both played huge rolls.

yep that kick in context also was an absolute pearler. The kid has huge faith in himself.

if I was old mal I'd be targeting Blaize big time for wawa team.

      • It sucks Macy no way round it but the positive out of it why can't we reproduce it again. We can develop top tier talent for me that's the positive spin I put on it.

"Maybe Pezet is just being Brought to cover Moses during Origin/Injury and Joash does get first shot ? Wouldn't surprise me but having pezet in the squad for 2026 is fine "
