Drop Morts

I rarely if ever go out of my way to cristicise our players straight after a loss.

I have not since day 1, seen any qualities in him to say he is a 7.

The problem now is.... DA sees him as a 7 and he is touching the ball more than he should..... he is just killing the attack.

The guy has the qualities to be a 200 game veteran at 6 or 9. BUT.... he is just not playing well enough at the moment to move him to 6, 9 or 14. He needs a spell in the lower grades.

Morts did not lose us the game tonight, but we just don't have the attack to win against good defences.. same as last year.

I dont think morts is the prob piss of DA i have never liked him and he dosn't bring the best out in players. If we had a decent coach morts would be playing 6 or 9 as you said and carving it up, If his career dosn't go anywere blame DA...

  i agree i hate that DA cannot deliver a cut out pass to the backs, or do a nice short ball.......bloody DA.......give him a run at wenty to get his confidence up?

The jury is very much out on morts, last year he came in and added some
spark for us and played great running footy off the back of some great offloads, but predictable and pre planned best sums up his ballplaying and I would not like to run off him regularly

Incredibly when player like Luke Walsh and Todd Carney came on the market we were know where.Bull dogs have half a dozen 1st grade quality halves next year.Tonight just shows the gap between top grade halves and very average ones.

  I'm devastated .But for once glad to log on here and not see a torrent of abuse after a loss.We were beaten by a better side BUT,that was a try ,if only by benefit of doubt.And why was no rooster sin binned ,they consistently gave away penalties in the first half to slow down the game.Worried about Burt,I think he's still carrying that injury from earlier in season,he's just not himself .

Why is it that when we get a penalty Morts is the one who takes the kick for touch? he has one of the worst kicks in the game and you have Hayne who has one of the longest kicks, wouldnt you rather Hayne kick for touch simply because he would make more meters?

  Psycology maybe? DA wants him invlolved as much as possible. You can see it in their play as well.... Morts is getting too much ball.
  
  Hayne and Mateo are our 2 greatest attacking options. They should be touching the ball 6 times each per attcking set... enough BS.
