Does BA realise the importance of a good #9?

Seriously.... another decent off contract hooker goes elsewhere and looks like we're sticking with Mahoney and Pritchard.

Pritchard is flat out lasting half a game let alone half a season and is NSW Cup quality at best.

BA raved about how we played great footy since the Darwin game (we didnt play close to great, but it was better) and alot of this came down to Mahoney joining the team then. It's pretty clear BA prefers to play 4 forwards on the bench and an 80m hooker , but surely even this nuffy can see we need more than a Mahoney plan A, Pritchard plan B solution.

  • Who was the hooker who went elsewhere?
    • Luke. Leaving Seggy and Korisosu as pretty much the last 2 genuine 1st grade #9 options. I sure hope he's not thinking on relying on Kaysa again.

  • BA is happy to have a tackling bag at 9, just someone to lead the defensive line and tackle.

If IDG didn't have to retire due to head knocks I have no doubt he will have signed him up till he was 40.

A lack of a decent dummy half is one of the reasons our attack has been crud in all his time here.  Mahoney looks a talent but its a big ask expecting him to play a full season and we all know Kaysa is made of paper mâché.

    • Agree wholeheartedly what I cant fathom is if that's what BA wanted why get rid of Peats?

        • Please correct me if I'm wrong (it does happen a few times a day) I was of the belief letting Peats go was a decision BA regretted, therefore implying it was his decision.

What audience are you catering for, TCT?

          • Not a BA fan but we could only release a player that another club was interested in and regretting the decision was probably more to do with releasing players to play for points instead of keeping everyone and playing for none.

              • Corrected I am I'd love to see the interview where BA aired these concerns again I'm not convinced yet, and I'm wrong more often than not, that the decision to let Peats go wasn't solely his. At the time I supported the decision until a few weeks later we release junior early to Canberra.

What was that about only being able to release players who other clubs wanted?

      • Peats was just a tackle bag anyway..no spark,no kicking game.

Titans hit another gear when Reign hit the field.

      • BA deserves all the bashing he gets. He gets paid to coach and win games. It’s all about results, and the improvement of the team has gone backwards. His lost the dressing room, a few early wins will mask it but by round 10 they will be back to square one.

  • Relax guys, BA has 8 games, if we don’t win at least 5 he’s goooorrrnne
