Adam I totally agree with your post. I have absolute faith in Ryles and am in love for the future for Parra. I just don't get the perennial gloom of most people on this site. Paying $1 million for a 35 year old prop does not make sense and the reactions on OEE were curious to say the least.
So am I John, I'm incredibly optimistic about our future. This signing players from other clubs discussion doesn't faze me one iota.
The reason being is because you could go through any club in the nrl and find players like your mentioning and that and coaching get you so far.
Parras issue is they lost Lomax Brown Talagi Sanders are going to lose Pezet and Russell and don't have adequate replacements for them that's the real issue here.
You throw in the lack of real quality on the market expansion and alike it shrinks the talent pool and with our inability to sign these types lies an even bigger issue.
They threw a mill per at Galvin and now Kolomatangi and it wasn't enough that's an issue right there.As we wanted these players badly but as above failed.
Go back further in the coaching search they wanted Bennett and Bellamy first and foremost went on fox admitted as much with regards to Bennett is this what we have to look foward to with regards to head hunting the top tier.
This is an issue the club has to get some purchase on we can't continue to come up short and pretend to think what we have is good enough to win a premiership.It's just not how the best work.
We say we want to be savvy recruiters bargain hunting which is great but are we doing the same off the park are we looking for better quality running the joint or are we satisfied with what we have.I don't know but what I do know we have to improve everywhere just not in one place.

The zero responses from the defenders is telling.
Problem was we kept arthur to long. We left it to late to get bennett. Bellamy was never coming he wouldn't want to work with the dopes in the front office. Jim didn't want to extend arthur but mc eldope made the decision and jim told one of the sponsors when sean left the room it wasnt my decision.
I feel for ryles because he has to work with these dopes but can't really say anything.All these dopes in the front office protect each other. This club has mediocre front office. Until it changes we won't win another premiership. If we miss the finals in 26 and go backwards you watch the front office throw ryles under the bus.
Not going to argue about our front office dopes or that fact BA was kept too long, and agree if we miss the finals in 26, expect to see Ryles get blamed and the desperation and the recruitment front begin to show.
Many in the front office need to go but my opinion that tactics and many things need to change is on the money. We need to replace our R&R team like yesterday and find the best negotiators in the country. What we have are sloths and that's being insulting to sloths.

You seem incredibly reactionary Coryn. The moment some sort of adversity (even in your own mind - the club's view could be entirely different) you are suggesting we make wholesale changes. CEO, head of football, head coach, strength and conditioning, scouting in the pacific islands and New Zealand. The list is endless. I don't know mate you seem to have plenty of thoughts on what's wrong with our club and a myriad of ideas to address them.
Sometimes to execute a plan takes a bit of time, a bit of understanding that you don't always get it right the first go, a bit of persistence, a bit of ignoring what everyone else is doing and staying the course because back at the beginning you formulated a plan and now you are sticking to it.
Our head of football and ceo have been in charge of plenty of failure, our head coach has shown good early signs as well as our pathways. You keep the head coach and the pathways staff and aim higher for a new head of football and ceo and go from there.
