Bulldogs, raiders and warriors have had great seasons so far but I don't see any of them bothering a full strength Storm in September. Storm will blow most of these teams away with sheer talent imo. Just from what I've seen Storm haven't been playing their absolute best yet and have levels to go

  • Storm are still my favourites albeit not quite as dominant as I was expecting. I still think they will get the job done.
Warriors, Raiders on their day could beat them.
Dogs are a conundrum to me. I think they're over-achieving by some margin. Yes their defence is solid but I still don't rate their attack. They need everything to go their way to win a game and right now that is happening. But eventually the errors will happen and they don't have the game like Storm, Warriors or Raiders to pile on points and play off the back foot. Or maybe I just hate them. Probably the latter.

  • I still don't understand why teams don't play through the middle of the ruck with a short passing game or offloads.

Dogs and Riff in there prime are designed defensively to defend from inside out.

What You would pay now for a 2021-22 foward pack we had that would physically overwhelm the dogs middle now we've gone finesse passing game that's no where near good enough to threaten more athletic or organised defensively sound teams.

    Rock meet hard place.

2 years a way at the minimum if everything goes our way and Moses will be at the end 32 going on 33.

    • Could be competitive next year if we hit on some signings and Moses doesn't miss half the season but they are big ifs

  • Dogs don't threaten attack wise like the Storm. But you could definitely see that Galvin is much more threatening in the short time he came on. Could be the difference when they get to the pointy end of the season, I think this is what they are banking on.

Raiders are a smokey for me. Some of the young talent and speed they have is enviable. They are the ones that can challenge the Storm the most I feel.

But it's a long season, and injuires can play a part between here and the GF. At least it's a much more interesting season than without seeing the Riff so dominant.

    • Yeah when you look at the numbers they had 60% of the ball and 50 tackles in the redzone. Storm would have put 70 on us. They are a tough team but I don't see the strike power that the Storm have

  • I think the warriors will find a gear, the dogs are banking the wins but no chance of winning the comp.. No one cares about the consistent team in the history books they ain't winning sh@t.

  • I reckon it will either be a Warriors or Raiders premiership this year. I'd like to see Warriors win their 1st premiership. Getting tired of Storm, Panthers and Roosters. Can't stand the cheating Bulldogs either

  • The Dogs have a chance purely because they are going to finish in the top 4 and are built defensively first to win a comp that's t(e Riff model right there. If Galvin grows in a halves role for them they've got a chance.Wheather have the experience in there spine to get it done I don't know but they'll be in with a shot.

  • Canberra might.

  • Dogs have had a easy draw. But having said that I think they are in with a big chance. All this bollocks talk about players being disgruntled about Galvin coming is nonsense. Although I noticed reed mahoney wasn't he's normal self yesterday. If critta gets injured they are stuffed though.

Also on another note did anybody hear about mitch moses heated argument with Mark "Frank ponissi of the west" O'Neil in regards to missing out on galvin and other targets? This stems back to his dressing room meltdown last year in Newcastle.
