Diogo Jota dies - RIP

I know alot of people on the site also follow EPL so I thought I'd post this given it is a bye weekend:

Portuguese footballer Diogo Jota has died in a car crash in Zamora, Spain, the Guardia Civil confirmed to the BBC.

His brother, Andre Felipe, also died in the crash, which happened at around 00:30 BST.

The car, a Lamborghini, left the road due to a tyre blow out while overtaking another car. The car set on fire, and both are confirmed to have died.

  • Yes - saw this recently; v sad for all but particularly his poor kids, and wife. Recently married. Life has no barriers.

  • Shit that is sad news. Being Portuguese myself this hits home a little harder than usual.

Such a waste of life and talent.

    RIP

  • Absolutely devestated !!!! 💔

  • I'm a Liverpool fan. I've been numb about it since I heard it. He only got married last week.

  • Just awful. I wonder if it hits harder being a Liverpool fan since I am one. Bloke had talent but also a family man. Leaves behind 3 kids.

Just shows the reality of life itself and how fragile it is. Live to the fullest.

  • Couldn't believe it when I first saw it. Such a sad loss of life.

  • Very sad news. Being a LFC fan myself and having attened a couple of games at Anfield when he played it's all a bit surreal. Such a young loss of life.
