Did Luke Burt play?

Stats says it all.

This year we have had numerous players not roll their sleeves up. It is a culture we have developed...I hope it is not a 'Polynesian' laid back mentality.

Again tonight some players did not put in or have the intensity. It is hard to believe we were outplayed by a hungrier second string Souths team.

We have no go forward, no speed and our attack is pedestrian and predictable.

For the Luke Burt fans.....his stats are below. Two runs in 80 minutes for a lousy 17 metres. Enough said !

Again he missed a crucial conversion, albeit, the game was over. His miss was the final nail.

  • drop mateo and inu for next week and let them play their last game for wenty .... they play like they couldn't give a fuck !
  • Mateo actually looked like he was trying tonight, maybe just a little too hard. So its unfair to make a call like that because really he did put in, but it just did not result in points.
  • Agree parra eel.... But INU is and always been terrible since 07... Bye bye inu good riddance take ur mate with u INU
  • get rid of the old guys bring in new blood there time is up.
  • agree burt did nothing, why arent the backs getting involved like hayne. their is nothing stopping the other guys from getting in their and taking dummy half runs or just hitups, i know burt is small but at the end of the first half or later in the game when the big guys like burgess, asotasi and crocker were getting tired he shoulda been their getting the metres.

Hayne to say ben smith had another good game, hard runs with metres and crunching tackles.
  • Quite simply there was no go forward which makes little opportunity for the backs. The only player making ground was Horo.

We are carrying alot of dead wood, such as, Luke Burt, Joel Reddy (good defender but slow), Tahu, Inu, Mortimer (will always be run at so spends all game defending...too small), Cayless (classic example of signing a contract that was too long and an example of a team having too much say over coach. No longer a NRL first grader) and Matt Keating.

The other major issue is we have too many Islanders or similar. Great players but do not have the consistency week in week out. Consistency is needed to make the semi's. Count the number of Islanders and similar we have compared to the teams near the lead....enough said !

Sadly, I am a huge DA fan but if we continue to have high numbers of Islanders then he must go and be replaced by Kearney to get the best out of them.....very sad I know.
