Devastated

I understand that there are worse things going on in the world and that if are cheating we need to be punished. But with the news today I am totally devastated that we will mostly likely not be playing finals. After all the years of heart ache today has brought a tear to my eye. I will always support the team but this is just awful.

  • You are echoing what every eels fan is feeling right now. Some are angry, some are numb others in disbelief but all are devastated. .

  • on the same page as Eeler.

  • I'm heart broken ... On the flip side I'm a little agro too... real angry
  • i agree Eeler. When there are things hard in your life you look to the team you have loved since you were born to give you a pick up. It is completely devastating.

  • It caused a massive argument with my mrs who said it is just a game and to get over it and then accused me not letting her have an opinion. So hard for non footy fans to understand.
    • Mate my mrs told me to calm down and lower my voice when I was screaming at the Tele during the 2008 GF... They just don't understand
    • Sorry meant 2009

  • Can't wait for the kids to get home from school (10 and 8 year old girls - Parra members). "Why is Parra on the bottom of the ladder now Daddy?" (they check the ladder online religiously) "They were fifth yesterday!" This is the type of conversation that the grubs who currently (and have previously) run the club have no comprehension of. So I'll have to sit them down and explain how their beloved Parramatta Eels overpaid their players and effectively cheated the system. Good job Parra.

    • Feel your pain bud. My son will be devastated.
  • Yeah I feel like such a loser at the moment.
Nothing ever seems to go right in the life of an Eels fan.

"Sorry should have clarified, 1998 NRL era.
I stuck to what i knew best. I love Luke Burt, still my favourite ever player, hence the dp. He didn't have that flashy skills like Hayne and was undersized but to accomplish 260+ games is an achievement…"

"Can you define what era / year your modern day starts from.
I took Jarryd Hayne on your survey, but I also loved Luke Burt as a team man. Luke Burt reminded me so much of little Paul Taylor, did so much work but never got the credit he deserved."
