I am starting to think we have the dumbest supporters on here .... watched they way we  manouvre and undermine any failures.

The relentless criticism and then the undermining of the coach, front office etc indicates some people cannot just understand the current problems.

Players were pretty pathetic today and I honestly think with the injuries and dislocation of being maimed that we will be lucky to win another game this season......Can we fix it, I doubt it, it is not an actual lack of effort it is more a lack of ability.

We have two backs with any pace and real class, both obviously carried injuries, you  all being such determined critics out there realising Moses could not run, or place kick. JAC's ribs are so heavily strapped he had problems breathing. Joash Pappilli tried hard, never dropped a high ball but had no support, Penisini has come back early from injury, Kelly is just a pathetic mess from a once competent player, Volkman was honest and the debut winger also honest. Realistically both Volkman and the new kid are not first graders. You can use players like that in one off's but not as regular first graders. It really was a non existent backline and the length of field tries that were put on us reflects that.

Our forwards I cannot defend them, but I do know that you only need one or two key defensive players out and you are buggered. If your backs cannot carry out defence, then the forwards will always be run ragged.....tell me you understand this?

See  I can defend my team, why cannot you at least attempt to understand our situation. Last year Souths had similar problems, their supporters  stuck with them, we don't have the talent that they have, it will be interesting to see if we keep our new St George players after he watches and see's this result but no we will blame MON for losing him and anyone else that wants to come.

NB Anyone that wants to sack the coach is a non thinking moron, he can only work with what he has and I am sure he is trying as hard as he can to come up with a side to play canterbury next week.....good luck with that one Jason. I don't envy your attempting to make something out of a club like Parra, but we stalwarts will support you.

Final point rather than being perenial pessitmists laced with disloyalty, try coming up with some solution's and commitments to support the coaching staff through this period of "seeming disaster"  without coming with your fantasy solutions.

  • Regardless of what team takes the field today's performance was disgraceful, weak, effortless and unprofessional. The Knights have both their halves out for the last few games and at least they show some grit and determination and look like they've been coached correctly and are mentally prepared! Today's team looked like a bunch of schoolboys playing in their lunchbreak

    • Mallee, You are right, do you feel better now......afterall you have done a great job in role of undermining.

  • Love watching you fight the good fight Pops. A lot of what you say is true BUT in Bob the Builders own words !

    • Thanks Bluey, I have no illusions being able to fix the problems, as a good friend of mine said, I lead with my chin and roll with the punches.... LOL

  • Poppa regardless of who ran out today you do not let the Titans put 50 on you. Unacceptable.

  • Normally I'm with you Pops but not here we've been sold a culture of playing for the badge first and foremost so when you put on the Parra jersey you represent something and getting beat like they did today giving up 50 at home suggests something different.

When putting the jersey on regardless where you are it doesn't matter you do it to the best of your ability I'd suggest especially physically there were some easy outs takentoday.I didn't see any leadership any sought of steadfast resistance just a team going through the motions looking for something. When the chips were down individuals were trying hard some of the examples used Papali'i as one example  in itself that was a good thing but it wasn't collective hence it was a waste of time.

This is where Moses Paulo and co really needed to step up and get us back on track and unfortunately they just didn't and it just got worse and worse.

I accept we are down on troops and it's a real saying losing isn't ok but how you lose is.We rolled over today and regardless of circumstance the cultural lemon being sold and the whole playing for the badge looks like a lie at fifth glance.

Ryles and Moa's expertise is middle defense yet this is straight up poor.I've been mentioning middle defense and first contact since pre season game 1 all off season and now we are 5 games or something into a new season and here we are getting walked through.Don't no about you Pops I'm seeing not just obvious question marks off the park but I'm questioning the above mentioned also as it's got worse the further the seasons gone on without any foreseeable improvement looking likely.

    • No Coryn. It is the injurys fault that Moses kicked the ball out on a full in our first set. Its the injurys fault that Paulo has zero line speed and lazy. Its the injury fault that our first contact is so shit. Its the injury faults that our kick chase left a massive whole. Its the injurys fault that are defence has been putrid the full year. There was so many lazy efforts and poor decisions/performance from players that are meant to be the captain or best players in the team. I get some plays in attack today was poor due to lack of cohesion/injuries which I can live with but there are still areas in NRL that only require effort and attitude and that let every eels fan down tonight. As you said there was only couple individual that tried but thats not getting you anywhere in the NRL. All this for the badge is a bunch of BS words if the actions don't back it up.

  • This is the shittest excuse making blog I've seen in.the history of this site

I've said this numerous times lately  - Poppa has ties with Mark o'neill and has a vested interest in doing anything possible to keep Sarantinos and O’Neill at the helm

52 points scored against us and he still defends the hierarchy.  The head of the apologists unicorn 🦄  foundation    And if you return serve to him, he does anything possible to undermine you. The ultimate narcissist

  • This blog should be deleted.  The most  disgraceful apologist's blog of all time.

  • More than anything, we just aren't fit enough. We are copping injuries mostly from the scramble defence or doing something crazy to chase the score board. But the issue we need to fix asap in fitness.
