Dear Steve Sharp from a supporter

Do not risk -4 pointsDo what is needed to make the NRL happyDo not let it go as far as a court battleLose 4 points and your supporters will vote you outLose 4 points and you and all those on the board go from heros who turned things around gave us the nines and a shot at the premiershipTo pariahs who destroyed our chance at a premiership and risk losing us key players now and in the futureDo not lose 4 pointsYou and the entire board will never be forgiven

  • Yup. That's the general consensus. He f***ed royally with his latest blurt to the media. Time to pull one's head in.
  • Steve, you can take credit for employing BA and for that I'll be truely thankful.

But you can't take credit for signings after that or success at the nines etc because that's not the boards domain. You have to get your shit in order, stop giving the press negative stories and get this club moving forward ie put the club before personal interests or old rivalries.

Don't miss the opportunity to give this club something it's lacked for decades, forward momentum. This may mean a successor in the not too distant future. Then have the balls to stand aside, do whatever is needed to restore this club and you will always be respected. Be selfish and dishonest and you will be like those who've gone before, cast aside at election time and forgotten about.

It's up to you to decide.
  • Like I've said previously, Sharp must not put his own interests in front of the clubs, and risk the team starting on -4.

They've had enough time to resolve these issues that they've created.

Sharp and co.may as well resign if we start on -4, they'll have zero support from us fans otherwise.

Yes! This x 1000. And if the board aren't being self-interested then explain to the members so we can come on board with their decision. Don't expect us to take blind faith and silly threats of "Supreme Court" as reason to throw our weight behind you.

This looks like self-interest, it smells like self-interest. So please, board, tell us why it isn't self-interest.

  • This is Steve

Steve likes big noting himself, putting himself ahead of the club and making an arse of himself and even has questionable hygiene.

He even threatened legal action  against the NRL before the verdict was handed down.

    Don't be like steve.

  • Spot on Wiz!
What has the NRL done for us lately!?
  • I agree with Wizzer,

lol, it's funny how in life sometimes things don't run smoothly, things get shitty, you can either stand strong and brush it off or you can have a bit of a sook, or even get a bit hysterical and have a bit of a panic. Usually it's the ones who keep their cool who end up on top.

Last time I checked we hadn't actually had the four points taken off our total yet.

"Correctamundo. And that's what we're gonna be. We're gonna be cool."

  • Agreed Wiz. Making changes to our election structure is the responsibility of the whole board. It's out of Sharp's hands. And because the monkeys are all screeching for Sharp's head, the rest of the board are probably feeling zero pressure to agree to the NRL's recommendations. Sharp will be the fall guy through no fault of his own. All because our members are too stupid to understand the issue.
  • and once again any stability we have flies straight out the fecking window....

  • Wiz, this isn't just about Sharpy. It's about decisions made by the board. But Sharpy is doing himself no favours by making grandiose statements in the media.
I'd respect a board who would stand up to the NRL on issues worth fighting. You gotta remember that the NRL are coming at us because we stuffed the cap over and over again. We deserve the scrunity and the NRL asked questions of this board on their watch.
I'd be keen to know what role each board member had in all this. For example what role has Deputy Chair Tom Issa been playing? And surely ex politicians/ current politicians like Tanya Gadiel and Paul Garrard are acutely aware of the need for transparency and diplomacy when negotiating with a peak body.
