Dead rubber? It certainly was!

I understand corporate sponsors and such have to be fullfilled but in all seriousness for us to have Hayne missing probably our most crucial game of the year for that farce is a complete.I know Hayne can play this week but I understand if he doesn't for his own welfare.Apart from that thier looks like 3 or 4 players who look like copping suspensions which their clubs would be spewing about. The reaction from from NSW showed that the result didn't matter to them.Aaron Woods looked like he was still drunk from game 2 celebration.Immediate review should take place for this situation in future.

    • Ye I looked at game 2 and I saw qld only score 4 points after themselves having set of 6 after set of 6 so based on your logic the qld halves are just as bad as as ours if not worse. If they were so dominant they would have put on more than 4 points, no tries just 2 penalty goals. How about game 1 once again the qld halves were not good enough, the only time they outplayed our halves was game 3 a dead rubber. U have your opinion about next year but until then it's just that an opinion. Personally I see nsw going on their own run of origin wins. People here base their negative opinions on our halves only cause they hate the dogs, as do I, but that's blinding them to the fact that we won our first origin in 8 years with theses halves. How about we bring Pearce and Maloney back hey, that will work. Bottom line is our halves got the job done when it counted unlike the qld halves who did it when the series was over.
  • Dr Wong finally some sense
If u guys think game 3 is dead rubber look how QLD approach game 3 every year.
I'm inclined to think QLD will want a white wash next year.
Then we will see how game 3 is a dead rubber we will all be waking up with a halfs hangover
    • In the eight years Qld won only one series in a whitewash. They turned up to one third game after spending the week partying on Red Bull and Stilnox. Sounds like a great way to approach game three.

  • I was at Top Dwogs sisters last night.

After a lovely time I flicked off my used condom and it landed right on top of the TV.

I then had to watch 2 dead rubbers.

  • Mate did u watch the game? First 60minutes they kept turning away QLD. NSW was in it till Gallen threw that ridiculous off load..fatigue set in and it was all over. QLD were all class last night.

    • We won the series I'm the first time in years and you already want the coach sacked??
  • I wasn't really sure where I sat on the 3rd game until last night when I couldn't bring myself to give a crap even when NSW were right in the game.

I know the NRL misses out on some revenue but you will still sell most of the stadium tickets to a 3rd game where the series is alive even if you only sell them after the 2nd game. I think the NRL should bite the bullet and cancel any dead rubber even if just as a partial compromise to players and coaches who think too many games are played.

  • Seeing QLD celebrate try after try last night was laughable! They lost the series and couldn't do that in Games 1 and 2. Game 3 was not a true indicator of QLD last night. It was more about NSW not playing the full 80 minutes with intensity.
