Could Oregon Kaufusi return to the Eels in 25?

The Sharks have reportedly told Oregon Kaufusi he's free to find a new club for next season. Being a former Eels junior and a decent prop I would love the club to pursue this. I don't think he's anywhere near 500K (the deal the sharks got him for 1.5 over 3 years pretty sure) but we could definitely sign him for less than that now that his stock has gone down with how many big boppers the Sharks have.

Would you guys want Oregon back? Personally a yes from me, and I'd add Bunty Afoa to that, we need starch up front. Then I'd be doing everything I could to get Blake Mozer away from the Broncos and Homer and Bart Walters.

  • Nope from me..... if we were talking about Marata Niukore on the other hand, I'd love that

    • Niukore is apparently on $850k at the Warriors. He misses so many games he'd be one of the highest paid players in the NRL per minute of game time. He also loves a head high sin bin / suspension. I do like Marata but he's expensive and too much of a liability too often.

    • Niukore was the one signing elsewhere where you just say "Nothing we could do". He will never leave Warriors unless they don't want him. Too good money and both his and his wives family in NZ too.

  • Hell NO.

  • Yes he can if it's on a cheap deal.

  • Why did leave the Eels in the first place?

    • More money and a chance to start. Paulo and RCG ahead of him here.

  • Hearing we have signed Christian welsh . Announced at end of year once mlb have finished there season

    •   source? if true i dont like that signing

    • Still contracted to the storm for 2025 600K 2026 MO

Keaon will be 28 at the start of next season, but, he’s played most of his career on an edge, and, has only really been a big minute player the last 2-3 seasons - a middle for 1-2 seasons? His best years are ahead of him.
