Could Bureta Faraimo play fullback?

This fella reminds me a bit of Ken Sio only with added mongrel. Sio was a solid fullback when needed, and i can just imagine Faraimo and his 'bull at a gate' style of game being even more damaging and line busting with a decent run up from fullback. Would at least like to see him pinch hit there at times this season or in the trials.Thoughts?

  • No. I'd be worried about his defense and whether or not he has enough stamina to be a fullback.

  • No.

  • Fullbacks need to constantly make decisions in defence and especially in attack, so they need a good footy brain. Plus they need extremely high involvement in attack, which means they need to be super fit and hard working. Finally they need great hands in covering all types of kicks, as well as passing in attack.

This is why you can't just throw the number one jersey to your best ball runner to get him more involved - because fullback play requires so much more than just running the ball.

    • Great response Poupou.
  • fair feedback, i think he's definitely in our best 17 though
  • YES!!!
    Thank you.
Finally someone who is thinking out of the box.
I wholeheartedly agree with this blog Mrs Faraimo.
  • No but i love buretta and his style I'd have him as our right wing
  • Lack of speed, ball skills and agility mean no.
  • Too slow imo, also dont know how hed go defencively

  • Gordon is our temporary fullback. He's there to fill a temporary vacancy.

I think we all know who our long term custodian will be.
