1800 - POOMAN got the deal of the century
I think it's close to a million a season for the primary sponsor so you could guess if you are talking about uniform sponsorship , that around 150 to 200 k would be the market.
im sure i read somewhere the small NT logo front of parra was 1mil ! ? ! but perhaps that was over 3 or 5 years but even that seems excessive
Tom that 1m was for the deal of us taking games up there, the badge was just part of the deal no doubt, certainly not worth 1m.
Our pirtek deal for front sponsor was 900k, every club comands different money for their sponsorship, we believe our main sponsors worth 1m although i doubt we'd have got that in our current deal, we gave aland a package of front and back at a reduced rate because we were so desperate, theres no way theyd be paying overs.
Sleeve sponsorships can be anywhere between 1-250k, same as the shorts, back of jersey might be a bit higher.
Player TPAs can be anything, not sure theres a cap.
Yeh the NT deal was a larger, longer term deal.
Thk u Snakey for yr reply....i understand now
My pleasure mate.
Its all depends on a clubs exposure, reputation, location, popularity and form, management etc.
The better and smarter run clubs get more, one team town successful clubs usually get more like the broncs, storm etc, theyve got a lot less competition.
Teams like the roosters have great networks and some big heavy hitters on the board like Mark Bouris and Politis, these guys could organise oustanding sponsors for big dollars, theyve got the networks and the big dollars themselves.
Clubs like the tigers wouldnt be able to command the type of cash the bigger clubs could unless they are in a period of success like winning and being in GFs, on field success would play a big part with potential sponsors and value.
Our value should have been at 1m for a front sponsor but our dramas the last few years would have seen that drop, note the value hasnt been announced by the club? thats all you need to know to realise it wasnt a great deal.
Id not be surprised if we threw in the back sponsorship as a bonus to get the deal done.
In reality we should be very attractive for sponsors, 2nd biggest business district in NSW, a tonne of exposure on tv and in papers, lots of fans, its our image thats hurt us and poor management in the past, we also dont have that high flyer network some other clubs have..
WoW ! its all big $$$ now... im 71 & miss those cheaper days @ Cumberland Oval ....$5 admission , meat pie & sauce + coke from the caravan & watch 3 grades play & come home with change & then watch @ 7.30 the replay on free to air.
