It'd be poor form if we didn't show appreciation for those who have represented the Mighty Eels in some capacity. Former Eels specialist Hooking coach Michael Ennis was instrumental in helping the likes of Josh Hodgeson & Brendan Hands reach the upper echelons of the art of Hooking. We've certainly missed his knowledge and experience since he left, that said we must congratulate the great man on his latest achievement of 5 straight with the Dragons!

Flanagan looked gone in the Press Conference.
Won't be long before they give Ennis the job.
Dean Young would get it.
Can't see Flanagan lasting much longer at the Dragons. Would he have done any better at Parra? Don't think so! Hopefully Ryles can put this team on a winning streak
Looked to me like he knew he was a dead man walking, definitely looks out of answers, or that he knows he can't get this squad over the line. Buying Gutho, Holmes and Cook will haunt him. I still think he has some good value as a coach, he could be a great partner for an up and coming coach.
Dragons freezing all negotiations with players immediately is pretty much his death sentence. Surprised if he survives tomorrow and Manly clash is his last chance.
I never fully understood the hype around Ennis as a coach. He has never actually coaches a team i believe and though Ryles didn't coach a team higher than Wollongong comp either, he was an assistant for Melbourne for a combined 10 years or so and was with the Roosters and England Union.
Ennis has flipped flopped here and there for years. Majority of his stops the teams do not do well. I would want to see him take a NSW Cup team first or stay as a full-time assistant for say 3-4 years somewhere, like Cronulla for example where the coach will not go anywhere, before handing him a basket case club like Manly are right now on the edge of a rebuild.
Matt Ballin has coached QCup and been an assistant for a while at Brisbane. He and Arthur are better choices. So i hope they hire Ennis hahaha.
