I realise that Kenny Edwards definately has had his moments, however he is one player I think is really important to our success.
I find that the commentators are on the verge of slander when they comment on Kenny Edwards.
Particularly Peter Sterling and Ray Hadley. The way they berate him and insinuate that he is stupid and not worthy to be playing NRL. It is borderline slander.
Comments such as; "well it's Kenny Edwards what can you expect"
"What was Kenny Edwards thinking"
"Kenny Edwards has run all the way from the other side of the field to get involved" ( He was actually running over to rev up his own team mates)
I find the same is true of Phil Gould and Michael Jennings.
The amount of good stuff that Jennings does and Phil stays quiet. As soon as he makes an error.
" Michael has always had a bit of that in his game" ( We all know that you dropped him to reserve grade but he was still getting picked for origin) He went on to be an awesome player for the Roosters and now he's playing awesome for us.
You lose Phil, you lose. Stop trying to exploit your position to justify your bad decisions.
Now that Phils beloved Matt Moylan is on the skids, we can expect him to be stepping back from his over exaggerated praise of a good player. ( Not a rep player)
Anyway that's my whinge.
My favourite commentators are Andrew Voss and Darryl Hallygan.
I find that they don't push any agendas.
Lockyer is ok, Fittler is good.
Johns( We get it, he kicked it off the outside of his foot, it's not that hard)

Hi JJ, I'm afraid I am very apprehensive with Kenny's on field erratic brain snaps. IMO it more than nullifies the good things that he brings to the team.
He is a walking time bomb & could possibly cost us a win in a very important match, such as a GF, if we get there. IMO he is not worth the risk.
You would be willing to let a quality player like Kenny leave the team based on if's and but's??
In the end, the commentators can say what they want about Parramatta, but it won't dent the Eels brand. The media tried that last year, and we ended up with increased crowd attendances towards the end of the year. This year the "experts" have have written us off as one of the top teams, yet we finished in the top 4. They said at the start of the season that we would finish 9th or 10th!
I think all this will be pleasing to BA as it gives the players something to aim at. If people keep telling you how crap you are, you can either sit in a corner wallowing in self pity, or you can go out and prove everyone wrong. Edwards should use this to his advantage also and have a blinder this game.
I'm sick to death of it too JJ. It's just as bad with some of our own fans. He handled the Broncos rematch magnificently under tonnes of pressure and scrutiny brought on Bennett and broncos press...how about credit for that!?
Ok call him out on the silly mistakes, but don't ignore all the other players errors when they make them too, with as much vigour!
His passion and will to win can't sometimes cause him to push too hard that's true but the carry on from the commentators is beyond fair. The commentator was so quick to get on his back in the one against Broncos? when the squabble broke out, it was like he was the only one involved. He actually implied he was the instigator and all he was doing was breaking the fight up. Would've been nice for the commentator to acknowledge his mistake instead of leaving his incorrect assumption floating in small minded fans' minds.
He is a vital ingredient to our chances guess that's why Bennett pushed the barrow so hard
You must be watching different games to me because Kenny's bad traits always put us under pressure in the worst times and field position possible. While the good is good he tends to put us under a lot of unnecessary pressure.
In saying that i always look past it cause in my opinion he is potentially the best impact player in the NRL.
His mistakes come due to his over enthusiasm to spark something and not from sloppy football like other players come up with.
What i love about his game most is his leg speed whilst changing his running angles.
The way he lifts his team mates is enough for me to select him week in week out.
If he can relax his intensity every now and then and ill say he'd be the first back rower picked for NZ.
It annoys me that come test selection his name never rates a mention.
Some players are either starters who cannot be accomadate of the bench, whilst others are bench players that aren't suited to starting matches.
The thing with Kenny is wether he starts or comes on as a sub, and he is one of those unique players who will play a role either way.
Keep up the good work Kenny!
