Cohen Hess to the Eels???

Just reading a comment on Reddit and a Cowboys supporter saying that he has heard Cohen Hess is rumoured to be heading to the Eels. Has anyone heard this rumour and would he be a good fit in our forward rotation?

I know it's just some supporter saying what he has heard but after the signing of Holmes they may have to offload a player or two.

  • Hess was ok a few years ago but he seema to have tapered off. Need to bulk up a bit more

    • He was pretty ordinary last year, playing the centres didn't help but if he got back to his form of a couple of years ago he could offer a bit. Personally I would like to see Kaufusi used off the bench next year.

We are still looking for a big forward so this Hess rumour could have legs.

      • He would be lower on the grade of needed resignings of eels players for mine.  Before even considering signing him why was others in the clubs jnr system allowed to go? also at what level of urgency or the like is there in tying up players like Kafusi, Lane, Brown, Mahoney and at perhaps a couple of the others instead?

    • He was amazing in his first two seasons but I think the cowboys have grown very stale on him. A move will do him good and is a very parra signing.

  • Cohen Hess is a good footy player and would be a great pick up. Had a bad year this year but definitely worth a 2 yr deal.

  • Would be ideal!!!

    • X100

  • I agree with Colin. Before we even think about signing anymore players they need to do what should have been done prior to November 1.

That is to extend players like the two Browns, Mahoney, Kaufusi, Lane, Hollis and anybody else who shows elite ability

One thing is for certain is that because we did not get it done prior to November 1 it is now going to take a bigger share of the cap

    • John, the elephant in the room ATM is the eels attempts with the case that the eels are lodging with the NRL over Stefano, even if they win, will it entice Stefano to stay, if not, then he should be removed from the development squad even to the point of allowing him to go to the tigers now as I read a report that said they hope the eels will let him go early, either way I would like to see Hollis slotted into that spot.

      • Let him play NSW Cup and let the tigers be dogshit for another year.
