Storm have confirmed Xavier will miss 3 months after getting surgery for an achillies issue. That's why Storm have been trying to apply the blowtorch 🤣🤣

The Achillies is an extension of the calf muscle and as such any surgery can have consequences, 3 months is conservative if it is a tear. Someone who's game is built around speed and jumping can have all sorts of problems.
When I worked with rep teams, a winger who was out with torn Achilles said he would rather have torn his ACL instead Achilles just how the recovery and feel for the game was different between both injuries.
"I love that idea. I'd go one step further though, a blow torch cutout in one hand and a big mobile phone cutout in the other with a picture of Abdo's ugly face on it."
"Hope you are right. Would love to see how we come out of Melbourne game, though under strength we are still travelling and it is a bastard of a place to play at."
"No because we beat a full strength broncos side in peak season. They make many mistakes we capitalised on it we win. Also that broncos side we beat was better than what they dished up. Just have to kick early and get Walsh in all sorts."

i guess hence the massive chase of lomax! the price has just doubled now lol
Why is everyone saying this is why they were chasing Lomax? Are you saying this injury happened some time ago?
Not sure if this is the main reason but makes them more desperate.
They wanted him before the injury they needed a Centre.
IMO this is more of a reason that contenders will chime in.
Missing out on Lomax is now a HUGE blow to Storm
Plus losing Meaney so they need someone to replace him too.
Yeah he's been dealing with Achilles soreness for a while now, even before the test v England I think. Didn't go to that
Wow crazy.

LB, did you ever propose that the athlete just stick their heel in the River Styx to avoid future problems?
