Classic Match '94

For me one of the most frustrating things watching league today is slowing down of the play the ball. Watching roosters v dragons 1994 fake on fox and the play the ball was so much better back then. The tacklers didn't even need the ref yelling like madman telling them to get off. The guy getting tackled didn't act like a retarded fish out of water and the tacklers could get up off him with ease.The game has really gone backwards in this department over the years. You guys agree?

    Adding to the above. There is also no consistency with how it's refereed. At times players get off well in time and there is no slowing of the play the ball yet they are penalised.

    Just noticed also there's no crowding by the defender back then and the attacker doesn't step for forward whilst getting up. Attacked gets straight up and the defends steppes back a little.
