  • Im happy that we've extended him. I doubt he'd be on anything over 340 to .390 k He's an honest player who those close to the club have a huge wrap on.

On a recent podcast with Justin Horo,  he mentioned that Moses was asked about which development player was his pick to have a big future  - Moses picked Guymer

    • We haven't seen anywhere near the best of Gymer so far. I'd like to see the likes of Paulo showing these young forwards what it takes to be an NRL player, to lift their game to the next level. It's fine to have a reliance on juniors, but they need that last bit of learning on the job to become the great players they promise.

    • If he is on 390K then MON is an absolute fool. Fringe 1st grader should be 250K tops.

      • Who knows.  I think you're right,  could be closer to 300

      • How do we know what he is on? But going rate for a constant FG player is usually around 300-400k.

  • The Parramatta Eels are pleased to announce that rising forward Charlie Guymer has signed a two-year contract extension, keeping him at the Club through to the end of the 2028 NRL season.

A Parramatta Eels junior, Guymer’s re-signing reflects the Club’s continued commitment to developing and retaining local talent. Since progressing through the Eels’ pathways system, he has earned recognition for his work ethic, consistency, and strong on-field presence.

Parramatta Eels General Manager of Football Mark O’Neill said, “Charlie is a player with a big future ahead of him. He’s tough, has a strong work ethic and leadership skills and a real team-first mentality.

“Just as importantly, he’s a quality person. He’s respected by his teammates and coaches, and he represents the values of our Club with pride. We’re excited to see his continued development over the coming years,” said O’Neill.

Progressing through the Eels Pathways system in the back row, Guymer was named captain of the SG Ball team in 2023 and subsequently selected to represent Under 19's NSW Origin. He made his NRL debut in 2024.

  • Guymer needs to be a lock or starting in second row, he has high football iq. Either him or Tuivati to start with Jack Williams, Paulo needs be on the bench and play the impactful important minutes.

    • Yeah reckon Lock is his role. He has a pass able to be the link man taking on the line. He should be starting now Hopgood is gone for the year. Let him get minutes at the spot. He had a great finish to 2025.

  • reflects the Club’s continued commitment to developing and retaining local talent.

woo hoo, we have 5 juniors in our top 23 players, way to develop and retain local talent.

  • He should be in the side every week he is a good defender and low mistake rate good re signing

"They've done well to a large extent avoid public scrutiny. On 360 last week I believe the figure they quoted was 46 points in 3 games they'd scored. The season prior with sexton at halfback they were averaging 28 points per game at the same time.…"
