Hard to single out 1 guy in a pretty inept performance but Charles is the face of inept . 40 metres in 80 minutes . The most unathletic , uninspiring back rower in the competition . By god he is a bad player . Im yet to see one thing he does at an NRL level . Can't run a line , can't break a tackle , can't hit in defence , loses almost every contact he's involved in. Congrats MON and all involved on the retention .
Every team in the comp has powerful , mobile athletic back rowers who can move . We have a bloke that moves around like he's carrying a backpack with 150kg in it . Having edges like him paired with completely useless centres like Penisni and Russell is destroying the prime of Mitch Moses career .

Agreed. I really can't see much in him. He's young for a middle, but when he came onto.the scene a couple of years ago, he was going bezerk with his intensity. 2 years on, he's hardly noticed

I don't like picking on one person either. Most of our pack was beaten to the punch, and they made more easy metres.
Mataele was again ok, probably the picking of the younger forwards. Hoping T Brown can get a run also.

The team is lacking in so many areas and we cant just hang our hats on injuries. ....Melbourne were poor very poor but did what they always do to us play through the middle. Talent is one thing but hard work will always beat it...Not sure if these youngsters are up for that.
We do the fundamentals and make our tackles we win tonight simple as that referring aside. Not sure were we go from here into a bye on a very low ebb.....
we do get some players back Rd 13 but cant see that helping much.

The most concerning part is we must not have anyone coming through that's any better. Either that or JR is blind. The guy has not had one good game and hits the line likes he's afraid to be tackled. Spins his body around and pretty much stops in the tackle
In some positions we have Cup quality players . Fullback ( can't believe some have pushed for Joash to replace Iongi) , 5/8 ( Volkman is the worst defensive half in the comp by a distance ). These can't be helped at the minute but holy shit does there need to be an adjustment in what we're recruiting on the edges above all else . It is pure garbage.
Russell's early try ( which was more a result of inept defence by Meaney ) masked how terrible a player he is . He has no footwork or vision . Mitch put 2 pinpoint kicks on the line for him to score off he got good grabs on them both and can't do his job . He had Fox unmarked in the corner and held it .. a very below average player . Russell , Penisni , Kelma and Guymer is atrocious edges . You really have to be asking recruitment and retention Questions about that alone . The Sua signing is great. It's one of about 5 needed desperately.
He'd be bog average as a Cup player... only at Parra is he a starting 1st grader. Not sure what exactly he showed for an extension?
