Before the flack starts to fly and the execution writs are signed, I have the utmost respect for both of these men.
The question that still needs to be asked is Do the rest of their team mates?
If they are the inspiring leaders everyone says they are, why do they seem unable to inspire or lead their team mates to follow set game plans as admitted by NH last weekend ?
During the off season, are we going to read about massive rifts WITHIN the team ? We already know about rifts between the administration-coaching staff-players. I have no doubts that there are problems within the playing staff. I don't think the known departures will be the end of it.
I would prefer not to read about it. Hope that it is all resolved discreetly, internally. But then again, I also believe in the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus.
The ride is far from over ......

They've both remained loyal to the Eels for many years, and they're fantastic mentors to all of the young players coming through.
There is no doubt in my mind, that both Nathan Cayless and Nathan Hindmarsh are inspiring leaders for the Parramatta Eels Football Club.
ps of course the Easter Bunny does'nt exist, Santa ate him.
That is all they ever do, inspire the players to play to the best of their ability.
At times, the players achieve that level, and we see a strong performance out of each and every player.
Other times, there are certain players that don't adhere to the inspirational words of wisdom from Caylo and Hindy. In fact, we've seen that many-a-time.
I don't think it's so much a question of them being unable to inspire their team-mates, but rather their team-mates deciding not to adhere to the game-plan that has been put in place.
When there isn't so much negative criticism regarding DA's position at the club, I have no doubts that the game-plans will be followed.
I don't think the game plans have been followed all year. Well before the negative criticism of DA's position.
Maybe it'll be better in 2011 with 1 captain on the field or are they going to continue with co-captains ?
Whatever the problem is - and there is a problem and it's a big one, there is no way that side should have missed the semis - whatever it is it needs to be resolved NOW!
