Mitch Moses is ready and willing to captain the Eels despite being torn over his good mate Clint Gutherson's potential early exit from Parramatta.
The Australian halfback spoke to #9News about his desire to combine with Nathan Cleary in the rep arena, after thinking his Kangaroos dream would never become a reality.

He is the man for the job. Hopgood is the VC for mine.
I loved this
moses sounds thrilled about having ryles and a new coach
always thought moses was smart and knew arthur was a deadset numbnut
I agree Carlo, he seems to have a pep in his step. Moses is smart and a natural leader, a new coach entrusting him with the voice will lift him to greater heights,
Hopgood leads by example, his honest & humble nature coupled with the give it my all playing style will be the perfect foil..
I think one thing Ryles would have done, compared to BA, is make it his team. Ryles is making Moses the face of this team. With BA Gutho was his golden child, we all knew that and he is a legend of the club, but Ryles has shifted it to Moses now running things completely and Moses obviously has to be on board with that.
everyone seems to think Hopgood is our future leader so lets give it to him
Soon, but not yet, Shane. We are in a time of change, both in culture and playing style. We need a voice and personality who has experienced both the highs and lows the game has to offer. Someone with the stubbornness and self-belief to make the side his own.
I agree Archie. Next year is only his third year as a full-time first grader and he had his second year cut short half way through. Do not complicate it but giving him captain. Let him be the vice next to Moses for a year or two then have him co-captain.
Moses is a elite halfback without a doubt, settled with a young fam - the time is right for Moses to lead us out of the wilderness!
I just worry I can see Moses all animated running up and grabbing the refs by the arm lol
Worked for Cameron Smith and DCE, give me a premiership and alls forgiven.......
