It's sudden death now,
This the biggest game the Eels have played since the 2009 GF.
It's all on the line now, can we beat the Cowboys?
Can we go all the way?

  • We will beat the cowboys by about 10 pts
And we will beat the roosters by 2pts
And play Penrith in the grand final :)
  • I'm a bit worried about this game. No reason.
I just hope our boys are as focused as last week.
    • Same here, we have struggled in games we have been expected to win, we don't seem to have the same focus we do when we are underdogs. Hopefully we get off to a quick start and get a 12 point lead early, the longer the game goes with the cowboys still in touch the more nervous our boys will get.

    • I agree we need a quick start.
    • I share the concerns. It's hard to have the level of intensity they showed last week 2 weeks running and historically we aren't good at that. Let's hope they can because they need last weeks intensity for another 2 weeks after this one.
  • I hope the Broncos win on Friday, maybe I'm wrong, but I think the NRL are not going to be pleased if all Queensland teams are out by this weekend.

  • It's been 8 long years since we played finals footy. Surely there are at least 30,000 Eels fans in Sydney who can attend the game. Let's go and make some noise this Saturday night !!
  • I reckon the NRL would like to see a Penrith and Parramatta Grand Final that would get the crowds in
A non Sydney team won't get you the crowds I'm expecting the refs to be on our side this game
  • There is too much to play for this week for them not to be up for it IMO.

No tomorrow's left if we lose and i think we seem to be up for games that mean something.

I think the knights game may have been one of those where coaches see their team going well and don't want them to get too far ahead of themselves and maybe BA backed off that week leading up to it, took some pressure off to one freshen them mentally and two to see how they reacted in their performance,  and by losing it gave him a chance to give them a rev up and get them re-focused for the remainder of the season.

Flanagan did it last year with the sharks after they won something like 12 in a row he backed off them a bit to freshen them up and they had a draw and a couple of loses but they were mentally fresh come finals which they were not this season.

We did that to Hayne before he went titans."

"We're more aligned and Ryles' mindset helps R&R. Guys like Williams who we liked for years, or the likes of Walker, Iongi, TDS, Ryley Smith who might not have got a look in under BA, meet what Ryles is after."

"The Pezet deal is about short-term and longer-term goals. Hopgood & Iongi became first graders who hit the ground running after 3-4 seasons in reggies. Lorenzo doesn't even have a full season (8 games in reggies). You don’t grow breasts overnight.…"
