Unless we have factual news about what is really going on inside our NRL camp, we really have no idea as to what is going on, leaving us all to commentate on what we each come up with.
What we all have in common is the ability to recognise success (wins) or failure (losses) and from there we all peel away from each other due to what we e-motionally attach to success or failure which determines how we end up behaving in this forum and elsewhere and it really has nothing to do with why our team is losing or not.
For some failure is strength building or at best developing patience, for others it means that the coach and some of the squad should be sacked. Either way, win or lose, the list of what we each e-motionally attach to this factual reality goes on and on and on and on and has NOTHING to do with what is really going on and this is where those employed with a finger on the pulse are the only solution to rectifying issues within the camp to appease all the fans grappling with the Elephant.
Do we really need another mutiny after already having endured so many mutinies since the time of outing Denis Fitzgerald from the eels camp. Will ongoing mutinies, booting BA, many players and Bernie Gurr being another, will one day bring us eventual premiership success or is it the path of great patience and character building because we are sticking with full-support for the men and women employed who bleed blue and gold for our club and give them the freedom to grow into the dream of premiership success everyone holds???
Are we at war with each other which brings the whole club down or are we on the same side???
For anyone inside the Eels camp who reads these forums, would they not be heartened by a solid show of support rather than fans who want drastic changes to occur everytime failure arises?
Arguing over whose view of the Elephant is the right one is what we are all encountering so far this season.
Do we stick by Brad Arthur & Bernie Gurr and give them the space to work their magic or do we assassinate them and start a new camp all over again from scratch?
2006 ----> Brian Smith, Michael Hagan, Jason Taylor, Daniel Anderson, Stephen Kearney, Brad Arthur, Ricky Stuart, Brad Arthur ------>2018
and
2008/2009 Dennis Fitzgerald, 3P and a cast of many disruptive clowns, Steve Sharp, Max Donnelly, Bernie Gurr -----> 2018 onwards or not.
Just when do we bring a final peace and calm over our camp, providing the space and freedom and full support for those who currently hold the reins and let them bring about, through experience, failure and all, what they and all Eels fans dream for, IN THIS LIFE????
Under these 2008---->March 2018 conditions, if we were all parents, our learning children would have been sold off every year leaving us consistently living in souless homes full of weird strangers acting in wacky ways.
Can Anyone See The Whole Elephant?

That's our dilemma, isn't it. But I for one want to keep a steady ship for now and see what the season brings. I'm not ready to join all the other lemmings and throw myself over the cliff...
Agreed Kevin, it's how I feel too. We can't judge someone like BA until his work/season/career is done. Building sites can get into a lot of mess but the mess doesn't always mean that the completed family home down-the-line will be a mess too. Taking BA down now, earlier in the season, may come with a lot of misguided fallacies.
Chocco, good blog and I agree totally, in fact its not that different to the blog I posted the other day.
Is there an elephant in the room, I doubt if its going to take too long before we know. 3 losses does not equate to doomsday, we had a couple of wins last year to kick off the year, then 4 losses, and the knives and assassination contracts are already being drawn up, or so it seems.
I have asked the question who would we replace BA with? Name one ex coach now on the sidelines that would be better? Personally I can't.
New blood in the playing ranks? I could name some that would be good signings but at what price? Would like to see some new blood in the top side though, but with Wenty losing again today, not a lot of pressure from underneath.
Agreed with all of this Colin. And BA needs to take more risks blooding youth wherever possible - the next generation follow through is everything down-the-line, especially for the success of the long-term culture of our club.
Your right Chocolate Frog. You would hope that if we continue to have the results of the past few weeks, then BA will accept that things need to change and trial some younger blokes in positions that are not working like they should.....
Totally agree Chocolate. Let’s hope we don’t repeat the past.
