You started out serious Blue Eel, but that bit about the Walkers as assistants is really funny shit. What have they done to deserve an NRL gig, oh that's right, they won a Q cup premiership over 10yrs ago, then couldn't make the semis the following 5yrs, like I said, some really funny shit.
I've always wondered why no one's given these guys a shot maybe the nrl and teams aren't ready for what there about or just plain to scared to pull the trigger.GC titans are you listening.What is there to lose.
I would really love to see them shake up the norms of NRL play. I see so much negative football these days, I'd love to see some entertainment back in a footy game. Timmy Smith cross field kicks for trys, the old masters at halfback that all had a chip and regather, the trick plays of Jack Gibson and Ron Massey, the expansive footy of the old old Dogs entertainers. These days it feels like penalty after penalty, soccer lie downs and acting. We are now even going to running on the last tackle to take the 6th tackle nd hand over near the opponents line. I hate that !
Bring back repeat set of 6 for grubber into try line, throw some real scrums in, make players actually play the ball properly. So much of our footy is becoming mundane. Even state of origin looks like a half competive NRL game these days.
Okay Rant over and I'll stop. Time for a rum me thinks.
LOL .....your passion is wonderful Bluey.....BUT the game keeps going strength to strength.....Parra is heading there! slowly .....no wait faster! ....just not fast enough yet! LOL again.

PS I just got out of hospital from a reverse shoulder replacement.....the pain was supposed to be excruitiating for the first week, I had zero and they wanted to know why.....it was simple i told them I was a Parra supporter and they nodded their heads wisely......
Other times I can socially go to a function and say I bet I can make you feel sorry for me....I'm a Parramatta supporter, more wise nodding!

Your right nrl like many sports has become very structured overly so left and right halves are just a damning sign of what you mention also.The grubbers into the ingoal with 7 tackle sets have basically rendered halves scared for the most part to execute it.
Im with you the game is very copy and that's what I fear with us I don't think we have a game plan to beat the best and there's no way in hell we'll out play a Melbourne or Penrith at there game.Catch 22 I think.
