"Good post P_G. Good to see your back!"

I have replied on this already but Ritchie's title suggest Ryles' form of late where many are saying there is promise for the future is a lie. Yet Canterbury in 2023 had similar talk around them, had bigger signings with Burton and Mahoney, Gould and had 7 wins that year too. I am not saying he is wrong, not completely i said that. Not saying we become Dogs either, we just don't know but i am saying clubs have been talked about like this before doesn't mean it is the case.Β
His article actually has some good points but the title is just click bait, says in the article they may be good eventually then just rattles on about results from this season v top sides π
Eels fans as always learn that hard way , Parramatta has more Advantages than any other club in nsw yet we have a board and CEO who are clueless in how to take advantage of it .Β We people on the board who put their hand up to be on the board just so they can put on their CV that they are a board member of a NRL club , they have zero to offer in terms of making the club successful . We a CEO , head of football and members of the board that other club would want .Β
Β
Parramatta are in that heart of the 2nd largest CBD in nsw that houses $9b worth of property developers and construction companies yet people which run Parramatta have zero idea how to take advantage of it, so because of the uselessness of the CEO and a board Parramatta aren't a attractive club for players .Β
First point - stop posting direct copy from the Daily Teleghraph! This material is subject to copyright and will simply get Super into trouble.
Second point - whilst it would be wonderful to sign all the big names that are constantly linked with the usual suspects, it will result in us losing players we want to keep. This is why we lost Blaize and Ethan Sanders.
The fact that the Bulldogs are being linked to a $1.2m player in Tino is a clear demonstration that they are not playing by the rules and will suffer the consequences if caught.Β
Players being offered.property deals and off field opportunities by people who have no official link with theΒ dogs is very much playing within the rules .
That is very true.
However, how many businesses can you think of that are prepared to offer property deals and off field opportunities that have no quid pro quo, or an ability to link these opportunities with the Bulldogs as a club? Because any nexus between the Bulldogs as a club and the TPA is against the rules.
I have particular suspicions on this front noting that the Bulldogs' major sponsor is a large hospitality provider!
Personally, I rather the whole TPA arrangement allow for players to obtain benefit for advertising products and services of sponsors of clubs. It would take out so much of the suspicion around the compliance of TPAs.
haha any one say Arthur Laundy ......interesting but Im sure he is savy enough like Uncle Nick to keep thnigs under wraps
So, you accept that Laundy might be up to mischief and may be disrupting the NRL's plan to keep the playing field level, yet you also think that the Eels - who abide by the rules - are in some way the suckers?
Here's the problem with blokes like you. You can't have it both ways. You want us to succeed but spitball the Club for failing to keep up with clubs that, in all likelihood, are breaking the rules.
Personally, I've got no issues with our club breaking the rules so we can compete with the likes of those clubs. We tried it once and got caught.
Let's take the view that we:
1. Break the rules and not get caught; or
2. Not break the rules and hope for the best.
You can't have it both ways and if we choose option 2, you can't bitch about our 'losing culture' because we're no longer competing on an even playing field.
π― push the damn rules right up to the lineage Β over it if we have too.The only way the nrl catch you is if you get whistleblown.Outside of that cheat even though it's a dirty world and we all like to think the nrl pretends the field is level when it isn't we need to be joining the above mentioned not sit on the sidelines pretending we do it by the rules is going to get this done.
Damn didn't know that, will stop posting those π
