BRONCOS PULL OUT ON INGLIS

The Brisbane Broncos have officially pulled out of the chase for Melbourne Storm star Greg Inglis.

Inglis' manager Allan Gainey made contact with the broncos early today (monday) morning and asked for an official offer for Inglis as they have been in talks about getting inglis there for the last 3weeks, the amount approx (450k) was knocked back as early as they gave it with Inglis' manager ringing the broncos this arvo and telling them that he GREG is after a whopping 600k and is not negotiable on price.

The Broncos were aparently the only team Greg Inglis will go to and the only reason for the move was to be close to his fiancee that he bashed as she works in brisbane and funny enough he owns a house 10mins from broncos headquarters.

Inglis is now expected to tell storm officials he is to stay with them next year.

  • Like I said in that Trent Barrett blog, surely this means they have to lose Cronk now if Inglis is staying???
    • Theyre going to have to lose someone, its not going to be SMITH/SLATER. i think 70% it will be GRONK, stil a slim chance INGLIS will leave prob 2 AFL/UNION though
  • Inglis is Union bound, definantely.
    • I think he would be great at AFL
  • The Storm will not release Cronk, Smith or Slater unless they go arse up completely. Why would they? That is the spine of their team.

Inglis must, therefore, be going somewhere.
    • Inglis does have a contract with them so unless that is somehow made null and void they can't legally just get rid of him. Although these days contracts don't seem to be worth shit so who knows...
  • i hope they were safe about it...
  • there is suppose to be an annoucment tomorrow with all the details of the melbourne storm findings. a press conference hope so. i think inglis will stay at storm for sure if the bronco's deal is off. mabe storm will take the field next year with 4 players cos none of them want to leave
  • why would they have to lose anyone? they are of course the melbourne storm! I am sure they will find a way to cook the books and keep them all.
  • they say announcement is wednesday now. so storm think they will keep the big 4 for that to happen that means that 21 players stay for 50,000 will that really happen? the 4 are treated like egyptian pharaohs.
