Broncos are Semi keen (Beware Massoud)

Semi Radradra's estranged partner Perina Ting has levelled disturbing allegations against the Eels superstar. Radradra must be given the presumption of innocence but if these allegations are proven the NRL is likely to come down hard on him.

There must be zero tolerance for domestic violence. There's a long way to go in the saga, however there does now appear to be some degree of comfort around his intention to stay put at Parramatta until the end of 2017.

Finally breaking his silence last week, the Fijian's manager George Christadoulou confirmed there was a lucrative eight-month deal on the table from French rugby club Bourdeaux. He said Radradra was attracted to leave by the superior financial rewards and the opportunity to escape from his difficult personal circumstances.

But when the NRL made it clear he'd be never allowed back into the game - and possible hit with an injunction - it all turned sour. One of Radradra's biggest gripes was the accommodation Eels officials had given him - an apartment in 'The Bronx'. Parramatta is now promising to move him somewhere better.

Christadoulou also hit-out at rumours Radradra was owed third party money. On the contrary, the Eels say he's been upgraded three separate times since arriving at the club in late 2012 and now stand to earn $400,000 next year. That's also the final season of his current contract and Parramatta is working hard to secure him beyond that.

But don't count out the Broncos, who have an ace up their sleeve in recruitment man Peter Nolan. Working for Parramatta four years ago, Nolan was the man who signed Radradra to the blue and gold and made his adaptation to Australian life as easy as possible. He even took a month to convince Radradra to sleep in a bed and eat meat - two fairly essential habits for any professional footballer.

  • NRL has become a laughing stock. Why not just cut all teams except Broncos, Cowboys, Bulldogs and Rorters and have a ten week Comp. They REALLY must think we are that stupid. LEVEL PLAYING FEILD. Yeah right.
  • A different article, a different day and again a different contract length. This one says end if 2017, one the other day said end of 2018. And the original press release attached below said 2018. Which is it?
  • Seriously linking him to Nolan is grasping at straws . If a had a boss or a work mate I was close to today and he leaves , 4 years later how often do you call him ? Yeah at first you chat on the phone a bit but after a year maybe two it's very rare you stay in touch that much . I have one bloke maybe two out of the hundred or so ex " workmates " I'm still in touch with regularly . Other than the one I randomly found on here by accident :)

Nolan at best would probably have a slight edge on the other 10 clubs that'd chase him , more so because it's Bennets Broncos than because Nolans there .
  • I'll have to start charging the dope.

  • Peter is Semis confidant and mentor, they are in constant contact and are very close friends, Semi has already given Peter his word he will be joining the bronco's, in fact a deal was struck months ago, Peter is also close to Semi's family and theres a huge amount of trust there.

The only reason he is going there is because of Peter, Semi has told people that Petes the only one he trusts.

    • Hope ur wrong Snake
    • This is a massive breach of the anti tampering rules then
    • But I thought Semi loved BA? So he shares his love with PN? Wow!!
  • wont happen before 2018 season, a beat up story, did you not see a statement from the nrl , if semi leaves the nrl or other club before hes contract end after the 2017 season, the nrl will still dock parra hes cap.

seems semi wont go no where still 2018, unless he go\s to jail or banned whiich is unlikely now, as semi a honest man says hes not guilty of charges in court.

  •  snakey king of scoops no wonder  massoud  looks at one eyed eels site  , and hangs out in parramatta leagues club car park each day..

why dont he report on the bronco's and wayne Bennett son*  josh check out there cap and 3rd party deals.

why your at it how will they fit semi and gi under the cap?
