      • @ea is Mataele any good in the middle?

      • I reckon that is very possible. If Flanno is sacked come Tuesday, freezing of contracts, place would be in a hole. Then play Souths, Roosters, Newcastle and Penrith. They could be 0-10 this year.

Su'A might go and Egan can get minutes.

i have been saying go for Keaon, but I wonder with Su'A gone if this makes the new Dragons coach put Keaon on an edge which is what he would prefer? Halangahu and Egan are top talents but Keaon is better than both right now and that could be one thing that keeps him at Saints.

    • Dont think JDB will be kept

  • This is a nice signing. Also helps if Keaon somehow gets out. Who knows he might have a flanno clause for all we know.

Regardless, very nice signing. Adds physicality, experience and class to our pack. Tuilagi can now be impact off the bench.

  • Our next recruit surely has to be a back now, we need a Russell replacement

    • I personally think we need a metre eating athletic winger more than we need a centre. We really need to balance out JAC's speed for some metres

    • Joel our next target is Keaon. Their friendship we need to take advantage of. Mitch get into the ear of Jaydn and push for Keaon to do a DCE if he can. All you can say is I signed for Flanagan and now he's gone I don't want to be here.

Then go for a Centre. Let's be greedy and get 2 class forwards.

      Imagine a pack of

      8. Keaon

      9. Smith

      10. Paulo

      11. Williams

      12. Su'A

      13. Hopgood

Much better. Then the bench with Walker, Da Silva, Tuivaiti and Moretti or whoever else is great.

      • Never say never it is the NRL but the rules are very different than what they were when DCE backflipped since they introduced the cooling off. Parra had Keon all but signed until the dragons offered that extra year. That extra year on big money means a lot for a young bloke trying to guarantee a bank loan and buy a house etc etc

        • From what I understand Su'A was a massive factor as they are very close and made a pact to play together again after he left Souths.

Extra year was the final push and sweetener. Hey he might say he's fine with his decision. But if I was Parramatta I would be taking advantage of it, have Jaydn and Mitch get into Keaon's ear and just pester him.

I know rules have changed since DCE debacle, that forced the rules to change. But NRL have pretty much admitted they love the drama contract breaks make and the media stories it creates keeping the NRL in the papers.

I mean extra means a lot but for bank loans and that I would think not that much of a difference. Still offered 4 years. We could go 5 or if he wanted out and to come to Parra maybe just maybe could convince him for a 5th year MO. Unlikely he accepts but if he wants out to join Su'A, we could have leverage for a change.

If you get Keaon too and Tago for example, done team is set for 2027. Maybe a couple of fringe and depth signings to fill out roster but pretty much set.

          • It was a factor but from what I heard they were telling him not to come. And by they I mean Raymond Fatala Mariner who I believe might be his bro in law

"haha HOE, i'll take a little bite. Surely MON cannot rest on the signing of this 1 player and must keep getting better. Your list of our future stars are all fan favourites without doubt. Perhaps two slightly different issues, I might suggest.…"
