BREAKING: Parramatta Eels confirm current player is at centre of sex tape scandal

The Parramatta Eels have confirmed the club is aware one of its players is at the centre of a sex tape scandal being investigated by the NRL.
The Daily Telegraph on Wednesday reported the NRL’s Integrity Unit had launched an investigation into the sex tape allegedly involving a current rugby league star.

The video of the act showing a man and woman engaging in sex in a public toilet last just five seconds and was filmed over the toilet door by a bystander.

On Wednesday the Eels released a statement in relation to the incident.

“We understand that those on the video have been illegally filmed without consent and that an attempt has been made to distribute the video to media outlets and on social media platforms,” the statement read.

“The Club has informed the NRL integrity unit and is taking the matter very seriously, particularly given the potential invasion of privacy of those involved.

“The Club will not be making any further comment.

News of the sex tape surfaced on Wednesday morning

“What are you hearing about another sex tape that is doing the rounds in the last 24 hours about an NRL player potentially caught up in another sex tape drama,” Laurie Daley asked Ritchie on The Big Sports Breakfast.

“The video is going around, I received it last night,” Ritchie said.

“It is a difficult one. It does look like a first grade player who is very well known. But we can’t prove that yet.

“You would have to go to the right channels to find out if it is the player and if there is any punishment looming.

“It looked like a sex act in a toilet. But until we know more. If we can determine the identity and if it is the player himself. There is more questions than answers.”

A woman has engaged a legal firm, who are preparing a civil suit against a player who allegedly filmed a sex act and then distributed it amongst his mates, according to nine.com.au.

The lady in question insists the incident was filmed without her knowledge or consent and is seeking aggravated damages from the player in court.

Former Australian cricket captain Michael Clarke launched a stinging criticism of the player if it is found to be true.

“Seriously I don’t get it,” Clarke said.

“Does he not have a house for starters? Like go home. What are you doing in a toilet?

“I feel for everyone involved. In the same breath he might not have known it was being filmed. I feel for the woman involved and can you imagine . . . I don’t know maybe things change when you get older and become a parent, but if I ever saw something like that and my daughter was involved, I’m never forgiving those people involved. Like it is someone’s daughter. I just don’t get it.”

  • If it has been illegally filmed as reported, I can't see the player involved being punished by NRL integrity. Sure it's not a great look, but it wasn't an illegal act by any stretch, and the only person who would be looking at being prosecuted is the person taking and distributing the clip.

    • Might be considered crime of offensive conduct ( you can't have sex in a public place ) but that's probably about all as far as illegality although , also , unless the guy had a metre and a half donger , there has been a breach of the Covid safe distance protocol   Lol .

      • you can have sex in a public space as long as you aren't visible or potentially visible. In this case the person's are within the laws

        • Irrespective, they were visible to the camera person filming.

          • That's because it was illegally filmed without consent

            • Too much law and order for you Chiefy, leave the legals to BM and the 1500 bush lawyers on the site...

        • Or within hearing distance

          • NOPE! Nitram.

Your perceotion of what you heard must satisfy the rules of "reasonable doubt" which means all "witnessess" must  agree it "sounded like people having sex."

            • I'm not talking about what one could prove. I'm talking about what it is. If it is sex sounds then theoretically that could be considered offensive. It could also be someone taking a dump. It could be any number of things. What I'm saying is if it is sex sounds then that could also fall under offensive.

        • correct
