Both Tuivaiti and Tuilagi out, who replaces them?

What was our strongest part of our team is now getting slimmer. With Tuilagi and Tuivaiti out, who do we see coming in for the week?

More likely we see Williams stay in the middle and Guymer moves to an edge. Then the two bench spots for Tuivaiti and Guymer would more likely be taken up by de Belin and Brown. Not sure if someone like Jezaiah Funa-Iuta will be ready either.

So Russell for Nanva is one change. De Belin will get Tuivaiti's spot more likely. So who replaces Tuilagi?

  • Kelly will be out for Russell i hope.

    Brown in for Sam

    Luca into the top 17

And another debutante on the bench

  • 8. DeBelin

    9. Smith

    10. Junior Pillow

    11. Williams

12 . Katonga ( who mind you had one of the worst effort games I've seen in a first grader his first stint today)

    13 . Walker

    • How was Kautonga's effort in the first half when he just let Kini jog past him for a huge line break. Atrocious effort.

      • Just like Paulo and Smith who didn't bother to join the kick chase lol

        • Smith has had a very odd start to the year. His chasing is nowhere near what it used to be.

          • I got no idea what's wrong with him. Maybe it's what JR has seen all along which is why he signed TDS. Has smith already reached his ceiling of being a pure effort player. His first contact is shit. First contact is more important than ever since you can't wrestle in the ruck

            • Both Ryleyband Junior are nursing knee injuries

On Ryley I'm a fan but also weary of players that take a while to get a run they often have a low ceiling look at Brendan Hands similar junior career as Smith and was good to start then serviceable at best

      • Absolutely woeful. If you isolated he and Kelmas efforts today it would be a shocking watch . I haven't seen anything like it before. I've seen teams outclassed and guys take short cuts but some of that stuff was fair dinkum not putting in.
On another note has Junior Pillow put his shoulder into a tackle all season ? What's doing there ? Thought he was pretty good last year and had a great Pac champs .. he has played soft as. No physicality or want to lead the pack at all .

        • Look at the line speed at the start of the game. Junior was constantly left behind because he is too slow and big for the modern game

          • Agree.

Every one of our forward pack won't be able to match it in terms of fitness against other teams, except maybe Williams. This team is so underdone when it comes to fitness and conditioning. I don't know who our conditioning coaches are or what had happened in the off season but I am pretty sure our $100m Centre of Excellence wasn't being used. The 'athletes' we have, all have very low ceilings IMO. You can implement systems and teach them how to tackle or defend, but under extreme fatigue, everything they've learnt will be thrown out the window. Fitness is the key to good defence, reduced errors and better decision making.

The recruitment model needs to change based on how the game has changed. We need forward thinking coaches and administrators.
