Seriously what are the odds 🤔 Both Panthers ( understrengthed side) beat the Warriors in NZ and then Knights beat Dolphins in Perth. Surely, the NRL really want the Eels for the spoon. After the rigged Origin game 10 penalties to 2 unheard of in most origins really makes you wonder. It will be interesting to see how much influence the referee and bunker have on the Eels vs Titans tomorrow

Thing is why would the NRL want Eels spoon? I feel this year all our losses have been on us not refs. Knights had a few calls against them not like they got Newcastle over the line.
But wouldn't Eels breaking the drought be a feel good story like Souths in 2014, NQ in 2015 and Cronulla in 2016? Plus with our fanbase NRL would make bucket loads on Eels doing well with crowds.
Imagine both Dogs and Eels doing well at Accor Stadium? Get 70,000 minimum for regular season game.
Why wouldn't they as they've already had it more than any other team. So many more obviously don't bother the NRL or the Eels front office
Ok but haven't answered why the NRL would want us to have instead of us having more than any other team (active team as Western Suburbs won more).
Then saying a spoon doesn't bother NRL or front office, why would it bother the NRL? As long as Parramatta are able to pay their registration to stay in the comp i think they could care less where they finish as they shouldn't care. As for the front office i believe they care but they do not know how to fix it and put on a brave face.
But again have failed to explain how the NRL would prefer us to get the spoon. Souths are slightly infront of us and could argue were robbed against Melbourne, wouldn't the NRL let them win to get 4 points ahead of us?
Because there are too many western teams and as long as the Eels lack backbone and speak out about the unfairness going on they'll continue to get treated like the doormat team of the NRL. They continue to be financially stable, still have a big fan base but haven't won in 40yrs. So long as they remain passive nothing will change
Ok but what do the NRL get out of making them come last which is what you are saying. The only teams they would care about are the expansion teams coming last. If Parra, Gold Coast, Newcastle or whoever gets it they couldn't care less.

They (NRL) still make a handy profit with a huge club like Parra coming last without the Eels board ( hierarchy) making any song and dance about it especially from their coaches. 10 yrs under Arthur who never said boo to the corrupt NRL because his job was safe as is the current board. The only coaches that spoke out and got support from front office were Brian Smith and Jack Gibson and possibly Anderson the rest have been a waste of space. Bellamy, Bennett, Roosters coach all speak up and most time get results. The Eels are a pushover and the NRL are happy to have it that way
Again you have failed to say why the NRL want Parra to finish last. As i said, in 2019-22 when we made 4 straight finals and a GF we were still pushovers. They make money off us regardless, ok but why hate us then? When we are push overs when doing well it seems.
