After the rigged Origin game 10 penalties to 2 unheard of in most origins really makes you wonder. Yes the front office has been a disgrace since Brian Smith left and perhaps whilst he was present but unlike him and Gibson he wasn't a doormat and spoke up and stood his ground. As long as coaches are just content with getting their salary and yearly bonus and not demand perfection then the Eels will remain without a premiership for another 40yrs if Rugby League lasts that long
Eels are a sleeping giant who just can't consistently maintain success. 01 09 they probably should have won the competition and 22 was a pretty strong run but they just can't sustain that type of success with all the issues in front office and competition for talent in west Sydney.
