Apparently 16 deaths now. This is just terrible. Why can't we just all get along with each other. Why do people do this ? It's just so senseless! Taking another person's life for what? Because you disagree with them! It's just totally insane. Those poor families! It's just sickening

If I was one of these victims I would not want people's views censored .
Australians don't want to have these tough discussions around social cohesion , sticking your head in the sand results in tragedy's like this.
We have enormous problems in this country with extremist veiws , youth and adult crime and not being truthful about the facts because it might reinforce a stereotype fuels anger in the community.
If we are going to fix these issues the truth comes first, who are these criminals, what's there background, why are judges mandated to go easy on particular crime, why aren't judges named and their records scrutinised.
If this is infact an immigrant, hate crime who vetted this family , what's our current visa process and why is it not omitting potential criminals.
Mistakes are always going to be made but there's no excuse to continually make the same ones.
Our government is partly responsible for this tragedy and people have every right to question policy.
Because whether you like it or not this has happened , so what we're doing isn't working, censoring people's views will only make it worse.
My wife's from the Eastern Suburbs and we know a lot of people caught up in this rubbish yesterday, thankfully they're all ok , but make no mistake to a man and women that we've spoken to their opinions around this are very much the same.
Correct , censorship and the likes is what has brought us to this point .
people are murdered due to politics, racial and religious reasons , but hey , if you're mentioning these you're a bad person . Not too mentukn some of our politicians have been trying to raise this concern in parliament and two of the two major parties supposedly representing us don't wish to hear about it , in fact they've been censoring those trying to discuss it .
Agree 1000% BUP. Discussions on the causes of the problems are needed. Avoiding it for the sake of being politically is not correct. What are we afraid of if we uncover the truth?
I keep reading people saying there were3 attackers. 2 people wearing all black on the bridge and 1 with white pants. They were wearing long bullet proof vest and the view on bridge people use as basis for this claim you can't see his pants. Also there is video of the man in white returning to the bridge and firing and the during the arrest it is clear 1 in white pants 1 in black pants.
There may well be a 3rd person involved but drone footage and video with clear view of the bridge never shows 2 people on bridge in all black.
False claims like there were 2 people in all black and 1 with white pants is what will drive conspiracy theories and down play what really happened.
The 3 man narrative and what they were wearing will be used to say it was an IDF or Australian government job to bring in more regulations with misinformation and hidden evidence to hide what really happened despite clear video evidence from numerous angles.
It was people bringing their overseas wars to Australia. People who do not respect our way of life or have any intention of integrating into Australian life.
How the Muslim community react will determine how this plays out. To often they hide behind the excuse it was a lone wolf type attack and doesn't reflect general Muslim views, but the mosques and all associates of the attackers should be under constant review and surveillance with deportations and more arrest needed.
When people are speaking with hatred or making threats others should be reporting these people if Muslim is real a religion of peace as they try to portray. At certain mosque throughout Australia people with these violent views are often treated as heros and encouraged.
The recent Palestine marches with Hamas flags, and hateful chants show that there are more people with this level of hatred who may be willing to carry out similar attacks if given the opportunity so doubt this is the last attack we will see.
"How about you get it through your head that HAMAS hide where under hospitals, schools and where civilians are located, seems you are so blind and a ISRAEL hater and obviously a socialist voter "
