Wilson, who has shifted between the NSW Cup and NRL this season, made his NRL debut in Round 11 against the New Zealand Warriors and would play a further ten first-grade games for the club.
During this time, he scored six tries, which included bagging a hattrick against the Rabbitohs in Round 19, provided four try assists and managed 47 tackle busts and 11 line breaks, whilst running a total of 1436 metres (averaging 130 per game).
On Wednesday, News Corp journalist David Riccio revealed on X (formerly known as Twitter) that Wilson has knocked back overtures from the Parramatta Eels to remain at the club.
This comes after fellow outside backs Paul Alamoti and Jake Averillo have taken up new opportunities with different clubs.
“I wasn't expecting it to be honest, I had a patchy year with injuries and how many games I played because with the Melbourne Storm players coming back it sometimes pushes us out of the team but with the games I played I put some highlights together with my manager and sent them off to a few clubs,” he told News Corp last year after signing with the Bulldogs.
“We had a few clubs bite back but the Bulldogs were the most keen so I went down for a meeting and signed from there.”
Not only that but Cody Parry has jumped ship and signed with the dogs.
You know this club has major issues when not only can we not sign someone away from the dogs but we have a junior who would rather play for them than us.
If we can't sign fringe 1st graders how the fuck are we supposed to sign anyone with actual talent.
Parry is no loss. He got injured and instead of staying with the boys and showing his support he went back home while the team filled his spot and went on to win the SG cup. He fell down the pecking order so went to be a backup elsewhere. But yes for sure the club is in turmoil for him leaving.
When reserve grade quality players knock you back that is a big issue.
We already have reserve graders in some positions. If we can't even attract reserve graders, how the hell can we be expected to sign anyone of quality.
I wonder what is turning people away from us.
Do we offer unders hoping they will just sign on?
Do they not see us as a title threat after 37 years of nothing?
Do they look at our coach and think he hasn't won a premiership in the 10 years he has had in charge?
There has to be a reason why we are failing in the player market.
"I don't see him as a better lock than Dylan walker and he doesn't even start. I also don't see number in the back as being overtly important- ryles wants all players able to play that role "
"That won't be on DB though EA that's on Holbrook to come up with a plan to get the best out of him and there spine.Guys like DB and Moses are best used when they play to one another the left and right rubbish is a blight on the game for talents like…"
"Now we have gone from Reign Deers, to Camels and you turning up in Fairyland Bluey....
My Kingdom for a dead eyed Dick....and no! a one eye eel doesn't qualify."

He has potential but isn't what we need now. We need experience and a meter eater.
Yeah I wasn't overally interested in him. Doubt he gets much run at dogs either 🤣

Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs winger Blake Wilson has reportedly knocked back an offer from rivals, the Parramatta Eels, for next season.

As announced yesterday, Alamoti will join the Penrith Panthers along with former Raiders halfback Brad Schneider and Wests Tigers fullback Daine Laurie.
Averillo will join the Dolphins and will be a part of the club's new arrivals alongside side Brisbane Broncos duo Herbie Farnworth and Thomas Flegler.

The 23-year-old will be looking to cement his spot in the Bulldogs side next season as he contends with Jacob Kiraz, Josh Addo-Carr and new arrivals Stephen Crichton, Blake Taaffe and Bronson Xerri for the outside back positions in the team.
What a dumbass

Club in turmoil.

I wasn't saying the club is in turmoil specifically because Parry was leaving.
It was more to do with the fact we have lost another junior while not being able to land reserve graders like Wilson and Billy Smith.
Yeah I wouldn't say turmoil we just looking around and will land some hits soon
