Over the past few weeks I have paid particular attention to a segment of the EELS line up and I can no longer allow it to go unchallenged.
The Cheerleaders are overdue for wholesale changes.
Yes that's correct - the Cheerleaders are failing our boys in the BluenGold miserably.
Have you seen the lack of enthusiasm they show on those freezing cold wet and windy nights when all they want to do is stay wrapped in their blankets to avoid frostbite.
Imagine our poor players plight - they leave home earlier in the day and it's been rough.
The kid is cutting teeth and the missus is not happy that he is going out to play with his mates (AGAIN) and leave her all alone to with the screaming kid.
Our man gets into the sheds and bashes shoulders and finally he is psyched up for the game only to run out of the tunnell to what.
Some shivering cheerleader with a scowl on her face - and boom - our man loses all motivation as the face of his wife flashes through his mind and DA's game plan flies right out the window.
And that bloody brunette in the middle - how many times have we seen her drop her pom-pom when the guys finally score a try.
Imagine how gutted the guys must feel to see that when the game is in the balance.
She is not up to 1st grade pom-pom twirling and should be sent back to Ringrose Park until she can get it right.
And then the blonde on the right hand side is not much better.
Sure she has been with us for a few years - and yes she has won cheerleader of the year twice but now - lines are appearing around her eyes and as much as it pains me to say this - she has put on at least 2 extra kilos and needs to also be demoted until she can work them off.
There are others who miss a step all too often in the dance routines and some who actually cannot do a cartwheel.
This is a shameful state of affairs.
I know most of you avid supporters don't want to face up to this awful truth - but changes need to be made if our boys are to maintain their focus on these girls or - - - - - -
Our season could be lost.
