Isaiah Papali’i was told in no uncertain terms last year that his time at the Warriors was over. Struggling to make an impact, the club began to look to offload him like a few important carries he should have made during the season. But that’s not to say the Warriors we’re going to let him go easy, as they managed to get the price they wanted plus a sweet brand new washer-dryer combo from Harvey Norman to boot.
Turns out the clubs’ washing machine was starting to go on the fritz, so the shrewd negotiators at the Warriors let the Eels know through back channels and sure enough Eels coach Brad Arthur (47) delivered.
“Mate. Tell you what, how about we throw in a washer and dryer on top?” proposed B.A. in the last in a lengthy chain of email bartering.
While the Eels picked up a damn good second rower who has had a massive impact down their left-side, the Warriors got the price they wanted and now their uniforms like a million bucks. Win-win.
